I stick to Nokia due to closeness with PC, i.e. use as dial-up modem. 2nd is stability, although the newer Symbian S60 (v1-v3) is not that stable as compared to S40.

Very rare I use h/p to view video or listen music. I use it mainly for calls, sms, browse internet for work purpose. Then link to PC as dial-up modem for 2-10 hours a day. If peak period, can be daily for 20-30 days like that. I have not tried with other phones if can act as modem as often as that. Occasional GPS, seldom camera. Average 5 pictures a month.

hmm..if so then nothing to say, since the main purpose of getting omnia HD would be the music and video..but make sure you get what you pay, cos i see n97 as overpriced unit

Kind of hard to say. Probably N97 has the apps to integrate itself with the phone. Facebook app for example. Omnia HD is probably on par with the N97. Pawns the N97 in terms of graphics quality (AMOLED is just so gorgeous) and camera.

But then again there's one thing that these 2 phones don't have which is available on the N82. An alphanumeric keypad tongue.gif

No multitouch= potong stim during text input rolleyes.gif

not really la..you enter one character in a time wad...multi touch for now is still a fancy tech that iphone use to show off, but in the end, it's just in gallery for zooming(pinch motion) and rotate, which other non-multitouch phone can also do by using touch gesture..
i would agreee that gaming would be an advantage with multitouch, but too bad only a few phones got it, and symbian s60v5 havent implement multitouch API yet iirc

Coz if u take the 5800 for example. There is a delay between contact with the screen and text input on screen. Basically fast typing with 2 fingers wouldn't be possible. The same goes with the Omnia HD eventhough it uses capacitive touch screen technology. Seen it from one of the Omnia HD video reviews on youtube. Reviewed by 2 Singaporean guys who made the same remark about this.

probably for some girl to use? lol~

well some ppl don use gps and some ppl dont really use 3G at all. I mean how frequent do u use 3G calls? For me i changed more than 10 3G phone, 6280 6288 N81 N73 N82 5800xm K800 W910 K660 and much more, and I have not use 3G at all because of DiGi lol~

1 thing for sure, the design looks better than 5800 due to the material used~

Update: 8th full discharge on my Sun Global 1800mAh battery.

Sun 6pm full charge
Wed 8am - left 1 bar and low battery warning.
Wed 11am full discharge

8th discharge = 65 hours (minimum use)

7th discharge = 46 hours (normal use, with extra 30 sms)
6th discharge = 52 hours (normal use)
5th discharge = 62 hours (normal usage, but final 1 bar test to maximum ~6 hours)
4th discharge = 68 hours (note: even less usage than 3rd discharge)
3rd discharge = 51 hours (note: less usage than previous)
2nd discharge = 44 hours only
1st discharge = 51 hours

Comment: For new battery, the low-battery can last longer. With very low usage, seems like the battery can reach 60 hours. Need to monitor further.

Note: 99% on GSM (not UMTS)

haihz just to inform there is a patch to silent the warning tones in silent mode and there is a patch for FP1 phones that detects folder E:\Sounds\Simple for ringtone and E:\Sounds\ for MP3's so that it wont mess up ur gallery and it also allocates E:\Images & Videos for images and videos... too bad N78 FP2 >.< just sharing this information hope u guys like it...

Remove warning tones so that silent mode camera and autofocus no sound just google this phrase:

Easiest Way To Remove Camera Sound(Even for Unhacked Phones !!!)

For better gallery and Music player coordination google this:

speedup gallery and music player

Good luck and enjoy ur FP1 phones.
