i think mine batt life i shorter cos i use the alarm.
if u set alarm and switch off the phone, it still sounds. so, there must be a bit battery usage there. |

why was the phone RMAed? LCD problem?
from wat i see, its a case of bad service center. unless you can build a strong case, physical damages to the phone, cannot be undone and will not be replaced by them. for our info, which service center is this? mind providing a name and address? for the lcd, is it the brightness setting? or u can bring it to another center and have them look at it, might be a bad connection or something. looks like for now, everyone has to be on the lookout for ap units from pacific. its also the first time i heard of them, normally i jz go for comsat.
looking at the state of the phone, u might have to bring it in for another round of servicing for the LCD only, claiming that you have no idea whats wrong with the lcd and have them look at it. the other way is, to really bring it to another shop. doesnt matter if it will void the existing warranty, the original service center is already as sh!tty as it is and you cant expect anything from them. i think the business setting and strong competition at lowyat is also to blame for the irresponsible AP sellers. They'd do anything to earn an extra buck or two. In a better environment, i guess AP sets should be able to provided a more affordable price.

i believe regardless of ori or AP phones, there's part of the amount money paid does not go into the hardware and the product, but for the future service. ORIs are more expensive bcos they have more centers everywhere, while AP area is limited.
The point is both should have proper after sales service. I think that irresponsible use AP the squeeze every single buck out of us. How can there be no waranty when that is what u promised the buyer in the first place? why dont u just say "ok, i sell u cheap phone, cheaper much that nokia shop, but if spoil, u dont find me". |
