QUOTE(ahpaul82 @ Nov 28 2010, 01:53 AM) ya, almost every times when using Data Transfer Mode, sienz. Goto your memory card. Delete the GarminXT.sis (or similiar filename) from E:\Garmin installed successfully and working fine. If cannot, there is another file located inside E:\Garmin\Apps\....\ search for the .sis or .sisx file. That's the installer file, which AutoRun everytime the memory card is plug-into N82. You don't need that file once your installation is done and running fine. |

Previously I do encounter memory full after opening several applications, or if I did not reboot (switch off/on) the phone for 2-3 weeks or more.
It seems like there is memory leak somewhere. Rebooting the phone (switch off/on) will usually solve the problem. Also, I installed jbak taskman to monitor free memory (~80mb+) Also C:\ memory I leave at least >30mb Everything else, I install/copy into memory card. The only way to jam the Messaging, is to collect 8k-10k+ sms in your Inbox, that takes me couple of months. Sent box max 999 sms only. |

It can be either:
(1) Recent setting/config that you change (2) Recent application/games that you install (3) Virus Most of the time, will be some email or apps, that is constantly checking the internet. Beware you may have sky high bills/charges, if you are not subscribe to unlimited data-plan. Try to identify from above list what you have done recently, and uninstall/remove the setting one by one. Otherwise, the other option is to hard/soft-reset it. Remember to backup using Nokia PC/Ovi Suite first for all the contacts, calendar, etc. |

QUOTE(mizivincible @ May 22 2011, 03:22 AM) I just acquired a Nokia N82 from my dad, apparently the phone is in good working condition, just need to do some restoration to restore its glory. 1. Buy good-quality non-original from accessories shop. Cheaper. Ori will be expensive, I think not worth it.1. Full housing need to be changed, including the rear camera part cover. 2. Top speaker no sound, bottom speaker burst, both busted I guess. 3. Need some cleaning on the inside due to where my father works has alot of small metal particles. How much roughly its gonna cost ? Expensive ? N82 is a very good phone tho. Will it be worth to restore it ? Thanks in advance. 2. Send in to accessories shop to replace both. Should not be expansive. 3. Buy those compressed-air canister (Pasar Road) and blow it. |

QUOTE(jian616 @ Jun 28 2011, 04:12 PM) Aiseh, never plug the memory card into PC usb slot and backup at least once a month ?Mind to share what card brand and size ? My advise for all, always perform this at least once a week/month: (1) Backup from Phone Memory into Memory Card (Backup.arc) (2) Plug out the Memory Card and plug into PC, zip into a single-archive file. Remember to enable view hidden files. |

Same here. I abandon ship last year into iPhone 4.
Need to try / catch up some of the technology. But not going to upgrade to 4S. Sold off my N82. But still lurks here sometimes. |
