Is this model still available at RM3150 or I should hope for Raya Promotion?

So, this model @ Rm2999 as desktop LCD replacement is no regrets? If all the sifus says so, then I'll go get one.

To use this plasma as monitor is a NONO for me. It is too big for my comfort. 24" LCD is just right for me.

I'm planning to wall bracket it on the wall and use my wireless keyboard and mouse from my work desk & bed smile.gif

I bought this P42S10K from Jintex yesterday @ RM2999. Took my laptop and tested the desktop display using VGA cables. No problems.

Coming back home, I tried hook it up with my ATI 4850 GPU (2x DVI & 1 S-VIDEO output). Used a DVI-VGA converter and tried the VGA cable route but there's no image at all.

I start to think I need a DVI-HDMI cable or go the old S-VIDEO to those red, white, yellow jacks (dunno the proper name). Which one you'll recommend me to use?

graphic card's AVI is digital, can not convert to analog VGA, use DVI to HDMI converter, they are both digital

I suspected the same as well. Went to Low Yat Plaza today and got a DVI to HDMI cable @ RM25.

Right now I'm replying to this thread on this 42" TV smile.gif

Since it's up and running now, I'll have to see if there's a better location for it in my room.

Should be reliable. I went down to his shop in PJ SeaPark, test and bought it on the spot. His shop is like those traditional electrical shop.
He has about 3-4 units left. It's free delivery to Klang Valley if price above RM1K, according to the website.

And I forgot to mention they waited for me and closed shop at 7:45pm (I was the last customer). Usually they'll close around 6:30pm.

just drop by at jintexelectronics, survey the 42s10. 1 more unit left, sold 1 unit today,as mentioned by her. rm2999 cheapest,i thought someone here said rm2750 from jintex? FYI,they dont have 50s10 display unit, need to book first. will buy from them soon.
*
rm2750 is for the P42X10 (HD Ready), as described by another forumer. The extra RM250 is a no brainer for a Full HD display.

Glad to hear Jintex is getting good business. I have to thank ilovesc&cr for telling us jintex = rm2999.

I sincerely apologised as the offer has been temporary removed from the site. We been had by one of our main suppliers. Apparently it was comfirmed as plenty of stocks, at the last minutes, we were informed as offer been withdrawn.

Thanks

For me, I'm downloading those HDTV video demos (those you see playing in the electrical stores) to test the tv and to break it in.
The size is huge, 1.8GB for less than 10 minutes demo.

How do you play it then? Using dvd?

Normal media player. I'm using KMplayer.

So, how's the PQ trick between X10 & S10 done?

Oh, never thought of this. I didn't check the cables. This might be one of the reason.
Another thing is they purposely cover the S model with 1 layer of protector film.
Why I said purposely? Because I look around all the LCDs and Plasmas in that Store, none of them are covered except this one.
*
If they used S-Video cable then it's too obvious. The extra protective film is more discrete.

Just a heads up. If you want to compare Panasonic 42" Plasma S10 vs X10 vs C10 side by side, you can go to Berjaya Time Square ground floor, opposite Metrojaya. They have an AV display there currently.

42" at distance of 5-6ft is very comfortable with me. I watch movies about 7-8ft away.
