there must be something wrong with the tyre. Go back to the showroom where u bought the car, ask the SA to check, because the car is still new...

some car salesmen told me have to be careful on certain cars dealers, they might give you great discounts, but give you recon tyres.

i guess its juz fine, its not too cheap, n it isnt too pricey either.. in terms of class, its the same class as the viva, but priced more 2wards the myvi.. 4 some people that could be a put-off.. but it is a better car if u compare it 2 the viva.. the interior's much nicer, feels more solid, n it has a 4 star euro ncap rating, meaning its one of the safest small car u can buy in our country..

things i dont like bout it.. well, in terms of acceleration its not very good (wat do u expect wit a 1.1 litre engine thats tuned 2wards fuel economy), but the engine does have some good points.. its peak torque comes very early in the rev range, which makes it a great city car.. n the engine is much quieter n sounds nicer than the viva.. space in the back is quite cramped, i adjust the driver seat 2 my driving position, n the resulting legroom behind it was really really tight.. n i also hate the fact that they rip out the abs n airbags out of the new models, n replacing em instead wit rear electric windows n electric side mirrors..

thanks, appreciate the great heads up from an expert...

yup, it wont be real comfy for passenger seats behind.

abs and airbag is available for the 48k model, but not for the 45k model.

Bro,

How do you compare i10 with myvi?

planning to get this for the wife. I believe they do have the ABS + Airbags version @ RM49k something.

hmm.. lets see, well they myvi is a better car overall.. principally becoz its got a bigger interior n it is better 2 drive..

in terms of value 4 money, id put my money on the myvi.. not becoz i have one, but becoz its the more value 4 money car.. put it this way, the i10 is in the same league as a viva, but priced similarly as the myvi.. so u do the math..

Thanks for your insights.

Im looking it a bit different way:

1. Built Quality: I personally feels that i10 quality is much more superior than myvi

2. I presume i10 is safer than myvi (4-star Euro NCAP body, dual SRS airbags and anti-lock brakes)

3. Planning to use this car as long as it can run. Would it be cheaper to maintain compare to myvi?

Based on No 1 & 2, i dont mind paying the price smile.gif

I own an I10 too, the only thing i'm not satisfied is it seems like underpower... pickup quite bad. But the good things are sound system cool, interior better than myvi and viva, sound proofing good.

what i concern now ?finally ,i may pick myvi rather than i10..

1st is my mum did support ..she feel foreign car not stable in malaysia , the 2nd hand value is worse ...it is true, lack of drivers can accept hyundai 2nd hand value ...why i dun argue with her ? i give up ,plus she sponsor me RM5k for down payment ...that is reason ~ biggrin.gif

2nd,the space ! myvi is wider than i10 but if you dun care it ...it is the reason you reject i10 ! tongue.gif

3rd,after done some research, i found out someone doubt the 4 Star of NCAP rating in Euro, because the i10 car for crash test that quality may better than CKU unit made by Inokom.... It is maybe ,i dun confirm !!!

4th , this reason i dislike i10 because the interior that i10 interior has some better appearance than myvi(my opinion) but the plastic feel too heavy ... doh.gif

5th, the price ! even i get the discount for each i10 type but the full spec i10 with 46k OTR ,it is too expensive ! the price almost same as myvi but them are different level car ...

Finally ,but i like i10 design ,so cute ,the color so attractive ....i will regret miss it ? i dun know , i hope me can make a good choice ~

Hi,

I have been thinking of really getting this car lately. But have been put off by its low resale value.

Another thing is... are the spare parts for this car expensive ? As in compared to local made cars like perodua myvi or proton saga ?

As well as its maintanance ?

Cheers.
