I went to the puchong branch. Previously, its in bandar puteri but they've just relocated to beside IOI mall there.. The SA said they have plenty of stock for the i10, but only the lower spec ones..

Im going there again this evening with my current car to see how much would they take in. Planning to trade in to get an i10 or a saga se. i10 is good looking but the saga gives better space and boot. hmm.gif

i know it's same car underneath, and same engine? for i10 users, is there anything better that makes u go for i10 instead of picanto?

well, cant say much on picanto vs i10, really is, i10 is based on the old picanto,

dealer wise, picanto = naza kia, i10 = hyundai inokom. doesnt really differ much,

i dont know about picanto, cause i dont own it,

engine is the same i guess, so the fc would be same,
eventhough from the spec, i can see that i10 body is a little bit heavier than picanto, might affect the fc.

maybe u can go test drive?

i10 is more expensive for its higher specs, like 2k more, unless u go for i-inspire version which is like 6k more than picanto

iinm, picanto dont have abs, i10 does.
not sure picanto have eps or not, but i10 does have it.

can read here for more http://paultan.org/2009/10/30/naza-picanto...ow-in-malaysia/

i10 5 years waranty, picanto 2 years..
picanto hu got usb, i10 doesnt, but its hu got rds

gearlift positon different, picanto got sidemirror signal.

other than that, test drive, and you will know the different, icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi Stereokumonomu,

Ur nick vy long..
Eh, so far you ride on i10, any problem?
I heard Korean car spare part expensive... is it?
and how's the service charge? I've visited Hyundai sales centre at my hometown, she told me that service charge only free for first and second time of service.
I wish to know more on maintenance fee for this car.
I like this car much compared to myvi but just afraid that I can't bear the maintenance cost.

just call me stereo is ok,

no major problem, the only problem is, the advertisement state that can get 17km/l, but mine the best i can get was 15km/l,
but still is good, i fill up rm47 = 450km+-, 80% highway.

first and second is free because got coupon. maintenence on parts? about the same with other car if u ask me,
and yet, i only use it for 9k mileage... and love it!

service charge do u mean the labor charge?, depends on the sc u go to, some hyumal sc (authorised hyundai sc) charge rm40 iinm,
but kah bintang sc (authorised hyundai sc) charge for rm20-30 only...

acceleration and boot space, i10 cant beat myvi... sweat.gif

1 word, the korean car now is never the same as the korean car before whistling.gif

have u went for a test drive?

normal service, less than rm150 includes labour, but depends on which sc u go too,
u mean which spare part? if tear n wear spare part the cost is the same as other car,
if aftermarket part, eg accessories, theres always an alternative for the expensive imported accessories... cool2.gif

visually, i10 does look wider, not sure about the specs tho,
the seats in i10 positioned higher than viva, which helps during taking corners,
well even the electronic power steering helps us newbies to drive.. rclxms.gif

overall i would say i10 is a fun car to drive. i didnt own a viva, so no comments on that,

my advise, ask the sa give better discounts for the car, check the price with different showroom, icon_rolleyes.gif

do give us update which is your choice,

its about half year now, mileage about 11k...
rm150 for normal service, using semi-synthetic engine oil. change every 5k
but i spend more than that, rm200+ to be exact, cause i use fully synthetic, change every 10k, so no hassle keep going back to sc... biggrin.gif

tbh, my i10 does have a problem when first drive it home, the radio rds seems not working right, so next day send back to sc and they change the whole radio head unit to a new 1 for free, so much for the hassle, but yeah. good enough for me...

my first car, and i love it..
well, thats the only car i manage to own after considering and squeezing all my budget.. icon_rolleyes.gif

What is the normal service interval for this model? Is changing engine oil every 5000KM is in accordance with the manual? I just wonder because nowadays most manufacturers (Normal brand - Not like BMW, Merc and the like) would normally recommend to change engine oil every 10,000KM.

yes, sc will ask us if we want to use semi or fully synthetic eo..
then they will explain that 5k change for semi, while 10k for fully...
its stated in service book,..
just to make sure it does not void the warranty, always do service in authorized sc...

Added on January 3, 2010, 5:43 pmbtw, theres always a sticker on the windscreen to remind us on the eo change period.. any car also have that iianm

As a person who own i10, can you share the cost for normal service with Semi (meant for 5000km) and for fully (meant for 10,000km). Thanks.
