as a postpaid sub, we expect better service and quality, espcially on the bill so that we can remit the payment on a timely manner.

however, if the billing system screwed up, it loses our confidence as a postpaid customer.

with an unpaid balance up to RM700++, how do we expect to safely and confidently use the service without worrying the bill?

yes, system will readjust itself, but question is *when* and *how accurate* will it be done?

how many bill cycles will it takes to rectify it? Who should we talk to for dispute after the adjustment? who can verify it then?

well, in their teaser, DiGi mentioned "something's about to go fast" ... still can't understand between RM1K/hr for 52 days and "fast" hmm.gif

Added on September 1, 2009, 10:23 amfrankly, it's useless for existing Postpaid users.

it's more possible for Prepaid user to selected than getting new Postpaid customers to sign up (and hoping to get selected).

problem is i'm a postpaid principle user. therefore there's absolutely no chance of me 'eligible' for the giveaway sad.gif

DiGi is like Oprah in "The Big Giveaway" biggrin.gif

i guess they're doing in phases.

1st phase: intro 3G broadband, slowly to the public.

2nd phase: intro 3G broadband on mobile phones, for existing subs.

3rd phase: possibly aggresively expand their 3G network.

during phase 1, DiGi CEO mentioned in the press that they're not focusing heavily to take over the market. their target is to manage a certain size of broadband customers to give the best possible performance/support.

this is why their service/performance is the best amongst telcos (excluding WiMAX operators).

if DiGi expands too fast, they'll BURNOUT the network infrastructure too quickly. at the end, Digi = Maxis = Celcom biggrin.gif

ok, i got one very weird problem.

I got a postpaid on DG50. I got another prepaid.

I linked this prepaid to my postpaid under DiGi Family. I set 15th monthly for auto-reload (RM15).

Today, the prepaid got a message for auto-reload.

This is the message that i got: "Reload RM15.00 is successful. Your balance RM15.00 expires on 01/01/1970" <-- Is DiGi going back to 70s?

Once i checked the prepaid balance, i got 1cent added!

Any1 able to clarify?

i always hate Digi's billing system. why?

when the itemised billing is not ready in OCS, even their CS cannot check! Aren't they suppose to *know* more than we do?

DiGi CS' answer: "We are sorry for the message, you can just ignore the sms as we are doing some upgrading recently and thus resulting the weird sms. Sorry again for the confusion."

HSPA actually. DiGi has high speed for both download and upload speed.
Anyway, our modems only support up to 7.2Mbps, thus either you get stuck with 7.2Mbps or change to a higher end modem.
However, it says up to 14.4Mbps, actually to get 7.2Mbps already sounds impossible. smile.gif

Unless Malaysia opts for I-HSPA that Ireland has recently adopted. biggrin.gif LTE technology is coming already but sadly Malaysia still stuck with HSDPA and recently only upgraded to HSPA.

I know these because I'm currently working with a world's renowned telecommunication solutions provider. tongue.gif

up to 14.4Mbps is just a purely marketing trick to guarantee the customers of its future-proof network architecture.

it's a matter of when they are going to introduce products with this speed. Also the How Much? question will arise wink.gif

HSPA broadband has already been launched months back, though only limited to few locations in Malaysia.
They are now expanding to 3G on phone whereby we can surf from phone using 3G speed and concurrently rolling out its 3G video call. smile.gif

so which one comes first actually?

3G Voice call? or 3G data/internet/broadband?

Apply for DG Family.

Mine is as such: [principle] Postpaid + [supp] Prepaid

Auto-credit transfer is nice too. Save the supp's time to reload (unless she is a heavy talker, then i wouldn't include her as supp at all smile.gif)

the larger their user base, the more revenue loss it hurts. that's why they need to make money from increasing the charging block.

looks like a good idea to look at U Mobile again! <-- read MNet's post #1458

Most of U Mobile's network is currently riding on Celcom's network.
*

correction:

U Mobile has its OWN 3G network from Klang Valley, Seremban and Ipoh. Voice/SMS/MMS/broadband usage is all under U Mobile's 3G network. <-- that's why going on 3G Broadband with U Mobile is so much better! biggrin.gif --> "less congested highway"

to lower down investment and setting up infrastructure, U Mobile signed agreement with Celcom to utilize it's 2G infrastructure.

That means, if u're at Johor or Kelantan or Kedah, u still can be a U Mobile customer while enjoying the SAME per-second rate! Therefore, coverage wise, it's still nationwide ...

...but with the following caveat: As long as you're on non-3G area, u're limited to 2G voice/sms only. If i'm not mistaken, MMS and data is not available. Even EDGE.
