To those who has not seen JonC, he looks and plays like Wayne Rooney. He's exactly the type of player that you'd fear running towards you coz by the time you decide to tackle him, he's already behind you.

JonC, its my pleasure to have played on the same pitch as you.

gto87,
Look out for "LYN Futsal" thread. We organise our games there, mostly on Monday nights. Do join us for our weekly futsal games.

And we aren't that great in futsal, just enjoy the game. I'd be more than happy if i have 1/100th of Cesc skills. As for JonC, he's got 1/10th of Wayne's skills. Must play with him!

As for buying shoes online, please insist on the registered mail option. At least you can track them. If you chose the cheaper non registered option, i think there's only a 10% chance of it arriving safely. The parcel "gets lost" somewhere and you'd never be able to trace it. I once purchased a jersey with the non registered mail option coz it was cheaper, waited a good 3 weeks but never received it. It must have "got lost" if you get what i mean.

JonC,
Yes, i felt exactly the same last night too. Its been a long long time since i played on rubber/teraflex court and i do feel that teraflex courts tend to be abit harder on your ankle.

Anyways, thats one reason why you should get the higher end futsal shoes like Nike T7 or Nike Gator. Those shoes come with the air zoom insole which helps absorb shocks on the heel area. Very comfy, especially if all along you're using the Adinova shoes or even the lower end Nike's which offers next to nothing heel protection.

Hi, what about Nike CTR360 indoor? Does it have insole which helps absorb shocks on heel area?
*
Nope, that one doesn't have the Zoom Air insole.

Just look out for shoes that has the Zoom Air logo or anything with Air. Its actually a padding made of soft gel that is located at the heel area that would give some cushioning.

So far the newer range of futsal shoes that has this is the T7 and the Nike Gator, thats all.

Nash,
Please do come and join us for futsal sessions.

Anyways, jackanory put it quite clearly on how to handle and clean leather shoes. SOft brush, damp cloth and natural drying under shade NOT under the sun.

But i can't confirm on the soak and it moulds into your feet. If i ever freaking buy a K leather shoes which normally cost RM400 and above, i don't think i'd ever wanna take the risk by soaking it and then realising it wont mould and screwing up the shoes.

But i can confirm that if you buy a brand spanking new jeans that was not pre shrunk, you will have to wear the jeans the first time when its slightly damp and let it dry naturally coz jeans will mould into your body shape.

The Predator 9 is already sold at discounted price at the Adidas factory outlet in The Summit shopping centre, RM365.

I think the main difference is that the Power contain extra 80g of Tungsten powder or something like that. Maybe we should call upon the Predator expert, Accelerator aka Balak. As for the climacool, its made of synthetic material as compared to the K leathered Predators.

nshady,
Its called the Mercurial Victory. Its available at Nike already. Colors are dark blue and light blue, just like the current range worn by Walcott, Drogba, Ronaldo and etc.

How much you paid for it dude?

The F50 Tunit is by far one of the more value for money boots. For the money that you put in, you get soft ground and hard ground studs and also the insoles. Definitely value for money!

What no skills...oldman Kang is the best among all of us. Legs are super long like Maria Sharapova, but alot more hair la.

BTW dude, i just realised all your shoes are super bright in color. Your first T7 was bright yellow, 2nd T7 is lime green and your Elastico is lime green with fluoroscent blue.

errr...not THAT willing to spend RM100 for shin guards. i'm no Scholes. haha

currently living in UK...so maybe the RM15 pairs will be harder to come by. i saw a few Umbro ones going on sale for £3 (around RM15, after conversion), but when i tried them on they didn't feel comfortable. after some time looking & trying around, settled on Adidas T50 Replique for just under £10. not sure if considered a good price or not. supposed to be discounted from about £12. think the sizing for it was confusing...if i were to follow it, i should be a size M since i am 5'3" only. but i thought that L size was a better fit. maybe because of my build? or that model's sizes are on the small side? unsure.gif

btw, nice jersey collection there! i only have 4 jerseys, 1 of which my mum gave away to a cleaning lady... cry.gif

Try www.kitbag.com or www.prodirectsoccer.com. They've got tonnes that you can choose from. I must say the awareness and importance of wearing shinguards is far more recognised than in KL. Here, when you wear shinguards, you're labelled a sissy.

hmmm anyone owns the nike bomba?
what's the difference between the elastico and bomba?

If you've seen images of both the shoes, it would be quite obvious that one is for turf/artificial grass and the other is for flat surface like ruberised court.

nimrod,
Actually you should get a flat sole shoes to be worn when playing in rubber courts. Firstly, i think if the arena is strict, they won't allow turf shoes(marking soles) to be played on rubber courts, coz they destroy the court. Secondly, turf shoes on rubber courts don't offer enough grip.

You should try to get wide feet flat(non marking sole) shoes and i think the Nike Tiempo series are quite wide. But yeah, i've seen the Elastico, it somehow looks narrow and the material is quite hard as you mention. Nothing like the previous years' Air Zoom FS and the T-7 which are made of soft kangaroo leather.

Go for Nike Air Gato.

Its also part of the Nike 5 series, but very underrated (and under sold!) in Malaysia. Like I said, its very difficult to try a pair for yourself, because not many places carry this model. The only place to get it these days are on www.prodirectsoccer.

I have the same problem with you with the wide feet and this is by far THE MOST COMFORTABLE pair of futsal shoes I have ever owned.

Giotto, I can't believe you didn't recommend this!  shakehead.gif

Wouldn't disagree with nazzy boy here. The Air Gato looks and feel comfy. I personally never own one before but any Nike series with the Nike Air Zoom insole would be comfortable.

Likewise nazzy boy, i think the Air Gato is way under rated and people seem to love the Mercurial Vapor series of futsal shoes. IMHO, this shoes offer little protection on the heels and its made of synthetic material. Its nothing like Zoom FS or even the T7 series that is made of k-leather with Air Zoom insole. Plus, the MV futsal shoes aren't cheap. You pay abit more, you get the Air Gato.

As i said, i've never own a pair of Gato before and thats the only reason i didn't recommend that. I'm very used to the Zoom FS series of shoes which is a predecessor to the T7 series. If you ask me, thats the best pair of futsal shoes i ever own. Its successor, the Elastico Finale, doesn't look as comfortable as the T7's. Firstly, it doesn't have the Air Zoom insole, secondly its not made of real leather. Thirdly, it looks a tad too narrow.
