Haha, couldn't get anymore direct that this, slyyoung.

I'm gonna be nicer tho.

My answer is NO you can't. Jogging shoes are supposed to offer maximum cushioning, therefore any other jogging shoes you see in the market have thick padding and thick outsole and some even with shock absorption outsole. Plus, the tip of the shoe are normally rounded and curved upwards to provide the momentum when jogging.

Go get yourself a pair of shoes for futsal and another pair for jogging, my friend.

Balak,
Buy first think later.

As i told you, if you're just buying 1 item and delivery is to private residence, your chances of being taxed is lower.

Balak,
I was in Singapore 2 days ago, the predators are not on sale at the moment. They're still marketing the black/red and white/yellow with no big discount in the Adidas retail store.

Balak,
So far i bought 2 pair of shoes, i never kena tax and i've bought countless number of jerseys online, also never kena tax before. Touch wood! While some people first time buy jersey, already kena tax. So what im trying to say here is that, luck is an important factor.

Having said that, if i were you, i would buy it online now simply because the traffic load during Xmas/New Year period is always much more than usual. As such, customs is inclined to quickly release the imported goods because they wanna clear the backlog of items entering the country. Its the same as people walking thru the airport. When there's a huge number of people passing thru the customs, the officers either just selectively stop a few people to check their baggage. Either that or they quickly do a rough check on the bags as there's too many people going thru and they dont wanna jam up the whole airport by checking every single person and start to tax on the items he's bringing. However, when the airport is empty, the customs can stop every single person and check their bags thoroughly and would not hesitate to tax any taxable items coz they have all the time in the world to do it.

Fulamak, Balak already purchased Predator X. Well done dude! I'm glad i made you changed your mind to purchase online. Again, pray hard it wont get taxed and maybe you should make a vow that if it isn't taxed, you should abstain from scoring for 10 matches or so.

i think i got a full proof plan of buying online without getting tax!!!!
if you have a friend that living in langkawi then just post it to his house...
langkawi is tax free area...so there wont impose any tax on any purchase...if i'm wrong please correct me..
*
Problem is finding a friend in Langkawi.

However, do take note that to enter mainland Malaysia, you're subjected to customs check, just like any other entry point in Malaysia. If you're stopped, you have to pay a tax just like anyone else. However, this applies if you bring in by bulk. If 1 or 2, you can just say its for personal use.

Dear Guys,

Where can i get Nike5 T-7 in malaysia market???.....Huhuhu...
*
Nike has stopped selling T-7's in Malaysia. The last batch of T-7's were sold couple of months back, i think the lucky guys here managed top buy the citrine green and bright yellow ones. Thats the only 2 batch they brought in. Now Nike is concentrating on the T5, T3 and T1's. I think they use to promote the T7,T5 and T3.

Nike prolly figured out that Malaysians don't value high end futsal shoes, but with an asking price of RM359, who wouldn't jump. However, most Nike stores that i've been to have had their T7's sold out.

Im pretty sure this is for futsal. For a short period of time, i own a similar Umbro Valor SX boots before i sold it off due to wrong sizing. Its very similar to the shoes you posted here, with the Touch Control thingy that is made of Michelin technology.

I kinda like the touch control thingy, its soft, rubbery and grippy unlike the Predators. And there's no reason for a casual shoe to have that touch control because its made to kick better thats all.

Nevertheless, its still a nice shoes to wear for casual outings. There's no reason why you can't wear them outside.

Balak,
I'm not aware of that RM400 for Predator X offer. But JonC might be right in saying its for Digi/HSBC customers only. I haven't been going to Pavillion for a long long time.

However, the Predator X is so new, not sure if customisation is possible. For the older Predator Powerswerve, that im very sure that there's full customisation coz i've seen people doing it there before. Even seen a girl customising her Powerserve.

JonC,
Perhaps you can give us more info on the offer?

Predator10 must be Adrian. Haha.

Balak,
Powerswerves MI's are around RM800+ the last i checked. Honestly, not really worth it unless its for novelty purpose or the shoes are sponsored or something.

However, the Powerswerve Power are going for RM365 now.

It's RM800+ but after 50% is RM400+ for the Powerswerve MI right? Quite ok what for a customized shoe.. The Powerswerve Power @ RM365 is not MI version izzit?
Haha bro bukankah sudah lepas date of promotion? DIGI until 30th November while HSBC until 31st December? But now January liao lorr bro lolx

After the 50% is how much exactly is the Powerswerve MI? Aih how come they don't do futsal shoes MI gehh.. i want my customized SALA!!!  sad.gif
*
I just checked in Pavillion, the Predator X is available for customisation at RM879. Therefore, now they have both the Powerswerve series and X series. The shoes available for customisation in Pavillion is very limited. Only some running shoes, the 2 football boots i mention and 1 basketball shoes. But, wasted la, the HSBC offer finish already.

The 50% off is Powerswerve Power and its in one of those factory outlet in Subang area, not the MI version.

Oh...total 90 shoot III released already...found it on prodirectsoccer's site..

Saw the new T90 Shoot 3, i must say its got ample amount of cushioning and quite flexible. Plus, i think many will like the new rubber thingy that aids the curve of the ball. Plus, its quite abrasive you know, the rubber thingy. Gonna hurt when you accidentally kick his leg or thighs or something. Price is RM399. Only setback is the color scheme. Citrus green, red and black. Not the best combination.

RM300 on a ball? I'd make sure the surrounding area of a pitch is free from drains or main roads. Just this morning, we lost 1 ball when one of my friend whack the ball, hit a tree and it dropped into a monsoon drain. It was way too high to climb out of the monsoon drain, so we left it there.

JonC,
If you're looking at new boots, try the older Adidas Predator Powerserve, and best part is they have the widefit version. You can buy them cheap at Adidas warehouse outlet in Summit at RM365 per pair.

Wah, RM365 is considered cheap ah? haha....cannot afford... tongue.gif

anyway, i've tried Adidas and Nike before...in fact, 3 pairs each...and consistently found that Nike outlasts Adidas in the durability department...maybe i'm just unlucky with Adidas perhaps?  blush.gif
*
Dude,
We're comparing apple to apple. The Powerserve was going for up to RM729 at one point, now its RM365, so thats a massive 50% off. If its the Absolado orAbsolion going for RM365, thats what you call expensive.

And durability, this is very subjective. Your Nike might last longer then an Adidas but at the same time, another person's Adidas might outlast Nike. Its hard to say which shoes are more durable. Which is why its always important to take care of whatever shoes you're wearing.

Don't make me go to Ipoh with my Nike Tiempo Natural and kick your Balak arse.

Speaking of which, my Nike boots is starting to fail. Last week we had a mud match and after washing it and drying it, the freaking glue is not sticking well anymore. 3 year old boots is gone.

JonC,
Im looking forward to replacing it. This boots is beyond repair. I havent been wearing it regularly, so what happened was the place i stored the boots was too humid and the tongue of the shoes started melting. The tongue and laces are all sticky and mushy. But i continued to use it coz i hardly ever play field football. But last week after washing them, realised the heel part is gonna fall off. No point spending more money stitching the hell part. Its not cheap either, about RM40 to stitch a pair. I did that with my jogging shoes.

Balak, nice shot! BTW, who's T90 Laser is that?

Just FYI, one of my football mates also gotten the Predator X from PDS and the best part is he went for the customisation and put his name. Quite nice actually.

Also bear in mind, most Nike are made of hi-tech artificial leather materials while most adidas are still using leather - softer and better "feel" but won't last if not cared properly. I'm talking about the boots of course. Have to agree though if ya talking about the futsal shoes...... my adinova indoors leather uppers are doing well, the sole is a different story!  doh.gif

And, yup like giotto said, it depends on how abusive the player is on their shoes / boots also.
*
It has just come to my mind that if you're gonna paly alot of football in muddy and watery conditions, its best to go for synthetic materials boots. Why? Because synthetic material does not absorb water like leather does. In turn, you won't feel so heavy when running. Plus, you won't find it so hard to clean for example the Mercurial Vapors and F50's. Comparatively, leathered boots are more likely to absorb water and cleaning after a muddy game can be quite a pain in the arse.

Damn, the T7 looks stunning. Saw it in Nike 1U yesterday. Very tempted to try on, but trying very hard to tell myself not buy them.

As for the Jabulani ball, i've refrained from buying Adidas futsal balls simply because the top layer always peels off after repeated use. They use the Adidas balls in Sports Planet and more than often, the skin gets peel off. Comparing it with the Nike Rolinho or Clubbe futsal balls, it doesn't have that glossy layer of skin and could last much longer.
