The popular tv channels and websites get money from cigarette companies for saying that hookah is unhealthy and worse than cigarettes.
Here are some facts about the hookah:
- Nicotine and water are both polar, which means nicotine dissolves in water. 95% MINIMUM of the nicotine stays IN the water. (which means the nicotine which goes into your mouth is 0-5% of the nicotine which is in the smoke before it goes into the water.) And i didn't even mention the smoke which deposits in the first quarter of the hose and body of the hookah.
- If a cigarette smoker smokes a hookah, it won't stop his nicotine hunger, he will light 1-2 cigarettes instead of the tasty hookah smoke (which is half steam)
- Hookah tobacco doesn't contain tar. Tar springs from the burning cigarette paper.
- If you smoke a cigar, or some cigarettes, you can see the smoke in the air for minutes, maybe an hour too (and it smells really bad). Hookah smoke disappears a little after you blow it out.
- Cigarettes are nicotine bars and taste bad. Hookah makes you relaxed and tastes wonderful. You can choose your favorite flavor and enjoy it over an hour.
- And most important: You are addicted to cigarettes, but you are enjoying the hookah.
I'm using my hookah almost every day for a year now, and i'm fine. If did this with cigarette, i'd cough like hell and couldn't wait for my next one. But i'm not addicted to my hookah. I could stop it for the rest of my life if i wanted to.
