QUOTE(panda00 @ May 30 2009, 06:18 PM) Yes....... the matte cover housing could be found on ebay now.......however it costs a bomb, approximately 43 pounds for full set housing. Darn...... contemplating if I should get a set as I've dropped my phone on stony pavement....and that little dent on top right corner does bother me a bit. Anyone using noreve leather case ? I'm using the Pdair flip top eather case, works great.

Don't get the aluminium cases, they zap signal strength, and possibly makes GPS go a bit wonky. I tried it and regreted it on my old Diamond. Imagine how bad it can be on the D2?

QUOTE(regnarts @ Jun 5 2009, 10:46 PM) do you mean this one Alu-Leather Case (HTC Diamond Series) - Flip Type , the one I bought for my Diamond 2 is Aluminium Lined Leather Case ... Well.. maybe if it's only lined in some areas it's different from being surrounded by aluminium..

QUOTE(jyth_82 @ Jun 9 2009, 08:43 AM) Oh yeah, just wanna ask... is it normal that under the "Messages" tab, when I click it, it quite slow for the message to pop up + it is also slow to pop up the threaded SMS messages as well?? Or is it cause by TOO many SMS (i have from 3 years back!). Probably do a hard reset if majority says that it is NOT normal to be slow.... 2 reasons 1. You really have a LOT of messages. 2. The threaded view is not working out too well for you. Goto Start->Settings->All Settings->System Tab->Text Messaging->Text Message Layout->Classic->Done->Restart phone Then again with 3 years of messages who know how well it'd work?

QUOTE(jyth_82 @ Jun 9 2009, 04:32 PM) Got a question to ask, any bad-effect when we use USB/Activesync to charge the TD2? Or is it better to charge over the wall-adapter? Nothing wrong with charging from the USB port, just that it'll take longer since the current is less

the exact first time starting? how long did you wait? you sure it wasn't stuck in the initial setup screen? it takes a while the fist time cause it's installing the base apps if you did interuppt it, lets just say that won't be good.

Diamond 2 already has chinese input preinstalled, no need to find chinese star unless you need hand writing input.

If i recall correctly you need a Wide VGA patch or something like that cause the game doesn't support our wide screens

QUOTE(SweetPuff @ Jun 21 2009, 11:24 AM) Hey, you guys ever worry about virus? Do you install any anti virus for your phone? Whenever you try to run an new unsigned program on your phone, it'll ask you if you want to do it, just don't run anything you are not sure of.

That WakeUpOnSMS thing seems to be one of the last bugs they need to iron out. It's been there for a while, I don't know while HTC chooses to disable WakeUpOnSMS since it never works properly anyway.

QUOTE(PrinceCaspien @ Jun 23 2009, 10:24 AM) i would prefer this way as in order to preserve battery life, sometime i do not immediately see my sms and sometimes in the middle of the night where i don't answer my sms.....actually a good move by HTC. While that is true, the tradeoff now is that users aren't getting messages delivered to them on time which is worse than losing a few minutes of battery life. Unless you tell me you set your phone to not sleep on battery power.

QUOTE(kurt5301 @ Jun 25 2009, 05:51 PM) just bought garmin software.however it seems i couldnt get satelite signal even in open space. c can anybody help please Few things to note - Have you used QuickGPS to download the sat data? - HELP your GPS get the initial fix by telling it where you are. (I assume you're refering to Garmin XT right?) from the main screen of garmin, tap on signal bar on top left of the screen to get to GPS Selection, then tap GPS Info, you'll see a screen that talks about acquiring satelites, now hit the New Location button, select the location where you are on the map (this will be extra hard the first time you start since you'll start from US I think) and press OK. - Don't be moving while getting the initial fix, stay still.

QUOTE(wacko_joy @ Jun 28 2009, 12:00 AM) Btw, anyone of you know where i can get tis or something like tis.. and roughly how much ar? Source Looking for those can attach to air vent.. coz scare using da one that stuck on windscreen.. later bad people see then break in.. Thx From ACE hardware I found a CRYSTAL edition holder, it comes with both a sucker and air cond vent holder. But the air cond vent one sucks IMHO. Use the sucker one and attach to middle of windscreen, then people won't be able to just reach in and grab.

Also, turning off 3G so the phone doesn't try to acquire a 3G signal in a non 3G area helps a LOT with battery life.
