ooo... means still have main con to help u cordinate lar... onli kitchen cabinet u ask unity to do lar.... if main con 'bau' everything, isnt it cheaper? i've just gotten my keys and now planning all these... i m very new in this as this is my first hse...  rclxub.gif
*
What you plan to do? condo? My main contractor is specialist on tiles only....more than 25 year experience.
If main con is ID company maybe expensive a bit...cos they provide ID services and consultation.

While my main con give me price is cheaper than i find myself bcos he will help me find his partner wiring, plaster ceiling.....so he get the contractor price from them and then top up 5-10% only. cos sub-contractor wont give market price to main contractor else they very hard to get the project.

hi web7878,

thanks for your advise. mine is a double storey terrace hse in puchong.

m planning to do my kitchen and yard to convert to be wet kitchen. then living room i want to do a divider to place altar. and my bedroom also partition it to be a walk in wardrobe.... so need someone to co-ordinate...

wer's ur hse located at? mind sharing wit us ur contractor?
*
My main contractor is from puchong too, he is Chinese uncle specialist in tiles but his partner all have good workmanship too. U can ask him to bring you to see his workmanship at puchong/sri kembangan...and ask comment from house owner.

I think u can ask his advise but i dun think so he able help u to design the house or any creative idea la....
u can ask him to do wet work, wiring, plaster ceiling, painting....

BUT those required carpenter work u can find specialist to do it....no need all give to same contractor. just make sure they can communicate each other.

U can find him here : http://esrenovation.webs.com/
can say recommend from ONG.

i also just got my key and planning now. first house too. so u are actually suggesting that we get a main con and he will get all his partners? so anything, we liase with the main con. am i right? i believe those experience main con will even give u advice on other aspects to watch out in the renovation process??  hmm.gif
*
Depend your main con lo, some contractor will make up the price high too. i also find few quotation for comparison...example plaster ceiling, wiring, tiles contractor from lowyat forum...they give us consumer price or market price.....but sure they will give special price to other contractor...else customer will complaint too...

so after he help me to find his partner(actually no really his partner la)...just they have work in same project before...then exchange contact for future business partner lo....

i advise you to get few quotation for comparison, and u will find out how ppl quote u as well. i learn all this from lowyat too....hehehe

i pass my key to main contractor only, so he will arrange those sub contractor to come...save time and money too.

If you don't mind you can go klang branch, i also travel from PJ to Klang....Puchong avenue bar stool all very expensive.

you can try Black & White furniture in sunway. they have the RM99 barstool and others...  biggrin.gif
*
same design and look can sell from 99 to 300++...IKEA sell more than 300.
When u carry up the bar stool u will feel the differrent material....

I saw Black&White and Cavenzi same material type...then IKEA is too expensive...finally find Crown feel good.

Anyone here install Aluminum Kitchen Cabinet from Onitek before?

Saw the sample from one of the showroom at my area. I would say it's nice plus no worry on moisture & termites.
*
I install their bi-fold and swing door...good quality too.
But aluminum KC and shoe cabinet is super expensive, their sales ppl say no customer do it.

Really so sorry for the late reply, after CNY till now a bit busy, I also no time to log in here..work from morning to midnight...until Valentine night then only I got time to reply pm here..(haha, coz no one set appointment with me tonight la)  brows.gif
Maybe you can check out our latest projects in our Facebook ~ Unity Kitchen.
For those friends in Lowyat who visited to my showroom last weekend they will know we are busy, but we will still try to reply with 3D drawing and quotation within 1 week. For those who want to have the drawing and quotation on the spot pls direct visit to my showroom and remember to bring along your floor plan.

By the way, schedule for March almost fully booked.. smile.gif
*
Today just complete install the wardrobe and shoe cabinet, no time to QC cos need to handle 5 different team at same times. The plumber will come install sink tap on Friday noon.

I went to your showroom many times but no change to meet u yet, always see all lady only.
Let me have full QC this weekend, if any problem then u can come fix it + take photo...hehe

Normally u go on customer site take dimension? If yes then I ask my condo friend to make appointment with u so we can meet up too.

Any brand will do right, you just place the filter below sink. Correct me if wrong.
I plan to buy Amway eSpring, they have the accessories for that.

My main contractor is specialist on tiles part only but i lazy to find other contractor for plaster ceiling, wiring, plumber, painting...so i ask him to find for me...cos he in this line ..sure have chance to meet many contractor. so he help me to find....he will help me to open the door for the sub contractor..the detail will discuss between me and sub contractor only.
but all payment i pay to main contractor only.

yea, sure tiles and wiring must done. KC cabinet is last part. i did it on 14&15 Feb and move in 18Feb.....
I already have the 3D design from Unity Kitchen on October 2010 when i pay the deposit, and collect my house key on June 2011...so i have done a lot planing on kitchen cabinet....

even i also ask student draw 3D for me too....
