Hi Erny, I have an existing concrete counter top with tiles. Is it possible to replace the tiles with granite top without demolishing the whole counter?
Also, the concrete counter doesnt have any cut-out for the cooking hob. Can this be cut also without rebuilding a new counter top?
*
Hi, I'm Erny~

U can just add a concrete stand below the drop on right side, then hack the stove area and reconnect it. Then u will have a flat table top. So that u can have a granite top or solid surface on it. But u will see the thickness of the granite table will be a bit thicker than normal one coz it have to cover the concrete table.

It is actually good to ban dupe accounts, this would protect LYN forumers from Bad traders (not steve). It wouldnt be fair to traders like Erny who work hard, update us with photos, reply PM promptly and make their way up in LYN (this requires a lot of time and effort) while other competitors create dup accounts (the ez way) to promote and steal business.
*
Feel so touching when i heard you said this. Thanks a lot and really appreciate that you understand this situation.

I think most of the forumers here are smart enough to differentiate either fake or real comments. There are always a lot new accounts with less than 10 posts to support another account. Because of this new account, even they ask for quotation from me, I will feel like this account create by the “honest” contractor, and I skip to reply it.

For me the showroom or factory is only 1 of my business, what I can do is try my best to provide the best service, learn to improve. I prefer to do a business in a gentlemen way, but not in cheating the forumers to get more customers. So if you think you prefer to work with an “honest” person like this, pls go ahead.

As a businessman I understand that it is impossible for me to have all the customers in the world, but I just want to make sure my customers choose our service because of they believe on our reputation.

For your info, ccheng0085. I don’t really know you are fake or real account, but I just want to tell you the photos I posted here is because the owners are from Lowyat forum. Anyway most of the sites I don’t go and snap photos since I’m quite busy. I notice there are few accounts keep mention about the Cari forum, actually Patric is quite active in that forum few years ago. But after so many fake accounts pop up in that forum, he already gives up spending time there. The timing for uploading the photos either Lowyat or Cari doesn’t make any different because he got no time to upload there. You just said that all customers from Lowyat? Think maturely, will a businessman put all the eggs in a basket?

From the last few pages, I noticed that is so many new accounts pop up here also. It makes me feel so confuse, should I entertain them? Or just ignore it? I clearly understand this forum can build up the name in a single night or destroy it in a second. If you really want to know more about Unity, read it from the 1st page….

To zheilwane and erny, sometimes in a forum, there is silent reader. Or there is some section in this forum that won't increase your post count when you post. Like me for instant. i have been monitoring this section for 1 and a half years. I never did post anything since i haven't really get a house or apartment yet.

But since you guys voice out about new account and stuff, i better post something here first, coz i'm about to engage you guys to do my newly bought apartment, which ...i think will be in next month.

Sometimes, its hard to judge whether a particular person who post here is genuine or not, so... easier is...just quote them with a little bit marked up price, then ask them to visit your showroom to discuss further.
*
Haha, MakaiKnight, I know about that. But when I look at the date they register. Like gaf0041 registered yesterday and immediately asked about steve, then steve new acc appear today. Smart + efficient! haha! God bless you steve!
Anyway, I will keep sharing photos here. Not to care about good or bad comment. Whatever people want to comment, God bless me.

Mr Erny, can you do other shapes than squares and boxes? something with more 3.14 or 22/7 kinda stuff =)

this is just really for future reference, no cash now
*
Hi, Unity main concept is to design and build the cabinets for medium-end customers. That's why all designers in my showroom always advise on practical design and help the customers to save their money. So for those more complex cabinets, I love too but will not provide by Unity. I went to Guangzhou last month to attend an exhibition there, I’m so surprise on the way they build the cabinets and the materials they choose. It cost more than Rm60k just for a 15ft x 7ft kitchen. Most of the doors come with button. You just need to press a button and it will flip up and open or close up slowly and the lights inside cabinet will on. Hopefully in future will open another company just to import all this different material and only for high-end user. So far I think Signature' is the only one consider as high-end company. They have pro designers just to in charge on the designs. This is the only thing I learned from them. biggrin.gif
Anyway appreciate your advice~

The price for plywood is around 10-20% more expensive than melamine board. By the way, this dosen't mean plywood is expensive on the material but the workmanship. It actually take longer time to complete the cabinet. But we always choose material depend on the design and requirement. smile.gif

We built this tv cabinet by using plywood

My kitchen cabinet is finally done today! I'm one of the happy customer in hiring Unity Kitchen. From the first meeting Erny has shown me his professionalism in handling the project before I even decided to give them the job. when he's away, his team mate Nicole has helped me with the details, I don't have to repeat the things I want as she already aware about them. Seems Erny has done a proper handover. The another thing that impressed me alot is the 3 cabinet installers who came. (sorry that i didnt get their names), They were so punctual, professional and well disciplined!! I can see that they enjoy doing on what they are doing. Erny, this is to let you know that you and your team deserve a "pat on the back". I'm so pleased with the outcome of the project and can't wait to move into my new house. If you asked me to give Unity Kitchen a rating.. I would say 8/10... The 20% is for the room for improvement wink.gif kudos unity kitchen!

Thanks a lot babymilo83, really appreciate your support~! biggrin.gif
Ya, we have few department to carry out their own part and make sure everything go smooth. So sometimes i'm out station, the factory and showroom still able to run itself. smile.gif
We have own lorries, workers, installers, and everything with Unity logo on it. Even for installers they also have to wear company's T-shirt.
But sometimes they take out their clothes and work, sweat.gif

Hopefully will upload your kitchen's photos here very soon~

Hi,
The price for plywood and melamine already increase in market, around 10%. Most of the aluminum or chrome accessories will increase very soon.
We will try to keep the price as before if possible. sweat.gif
I think last week so many customers came to my showroom and paid the deposit to lock the price because of this reason..
If you want to lock the price as per discussed, you may come to our showroom and pay the deposit first. So even the price increase but we will still offer you the lower price. smile.gif

What is your definition of "low budget" leh? E.g. RM10k, or RM20k?
*
Ya, if you need really cheap I advice direct go through newspaper, you can find "cheapest in town".
But if you want compare service and quality, go and visit some showroom. Price always refer to final quotation, then you will really know what you want and what you get.

QUOTE(airwarrior88 @ Jun 13 2011, 12:29 PM)
hi,

I am the owner of the red and black color kitchen cabinet. I have been following this thread since Nov. 2010 when I purchased a sub sales d/s house. The renovation took 3 months and me and my son moved in 2 weeks ago. This is the best thread to get information. Believed me when 2 KC companies did not even bother to reply and quoted me when I told them my initial budget was only rm6k after I have given them my plan. In the end, my final KC was almost triple that amount but it was worth it. Unity Kitchen price is still cheaper than most of them.

user posted image

I am lucky that from this thread I found out about Unity Kitchen and Erny Looi. Other KC companies did not even bother to give me a 3D design of the proposed KC design except a hand drawn diagram. Even when I complaint that there was a scratched at the back to the door after the installation, they came to removed it and send back to the factory and replaced that part in just a few days. My heartfelt thanks to Erny, Nicole, Louise and the installation team for a job  well done. They are very professional and now my kitchen cabinet is the focus point of the house....even my grand daughter loves it. We just had a house warming party last Saturday and everyone was full of praise of the design and workmanship.

user posted image

I have made a good and right decision to order the KC from Unity Kitchen and I do not have to go through the heartache of some unfortunate owners (which I sympathised with them) that has to go through heart pain and the time take for all the hassles.

Once again, thanks to Erny and his team. I am a 100% satisfied customer!

all promote non cheap board or non melamine
material. Kena water habis.
However, unity service is good as per most forummer
commented. Produce artwork in half n hour with
details pricing.
