Actually my desginer set an appointment with owner on the next day we installed the cabinet but not wait until the owner command here. As I said we still not perfect but we trying the best, not to make mistake, as least not serious mistake. I believe from the 1st page till 90 over pages, more than few hundred good feedback from my customers, but I still can't avoid to make a mistake.. I believe some of the customers who command a good feedback for me, actually they do complain before. But at last they get what they want and happy on the works, then only they will give some good feedbacks for UD. I consider the mistake cause by my workers as my own mistake, so I will try to settle and solve the problem as soon as possible. Thanks for all friends who support me ya. Appreciate that, cheers!

Ya, but my customer told me their price quite reasonable, all items list in quotation, so he don't have to worry the problem like hidden cost. I think they are main con, do most of the jobs, but I heard that they are quite busy, they provide free quotation but to take the project or not is still depend on their schedule.

I'm looking at Unity Kitchen doing my wardrobes and Kitchen Cabinets. They are very nice, because when I informed Erny about the defects, he immediately drive here with his partner to check my concerns. Very professional! I like the service! Not many people can do that, eveb in other industry, urthermore Erny is the boss! He didn't cover the mistakes, and he offers solutions immediately. His staff also the same, Hong and two more staffs, they never showed me face when I pointed out the complaints. They immediately offer solutions. They are all very polite and helpful. Kudos! I am waiting for the installation of the countertops in 7-10days. Honestly I am a very fussy customer. I sent the fotile hood hob oven back two times because of the scratches. Erny and his team really do their best and provide professional service and deliver beautiful finishing. Otherwise I won't praise them publicly. Sorry Erny for being a fussy customer. Haha. He and his team came to my house more than 10times I think from the beginning till the end. I feel so pai seh. Appreciate your hard work.  And I will definitely refer Unity Kitchen to anybody!

Not defect on the cabinet, but the floor, haha! sweat.gif littlegirlmsia very detail on scartch matter. haha!

QUOTE(Life_House @ Sep 28 2011, 12:08 PM)
hi Erny, would like to know ....  if the front side of a wall is the living room and the back side of the wall is another room..   If i wish to put up the LCD TV on wall with the supporting TV rack screwed on wall, will the action of screwing affect the wall structure on the other side of the wall ?    Thx..
*
The standard design for wall thickness is 100mm to 150mm. For bearing wall for some condos will be around 100mm. Bearing wall is for those building without minor column. So the wallplug/screw is only 3 inch / 75mm, and only 60mm will be in the wall. So it is ok for u to fix the tv bracket on the wall. smile.gif
Only low cost flat will use block wall, it is empty inside, the purpose normally to divide the area and it will provide minimum load to the structure. So if the wall is built by block wall, then u can't hack or fix any screw on it. smile.gif

Hope this info helps~ cheers!

Erny, got some Q :
- For solid surface how many yrs warranty is offered.
- I saw got a few types of channel/strip aluminium handle, the normal is square. Do u have the 'C' or round/smooth type ?
- Is it possible to paste gloss type of laminate over melamine board ? I notice melamine dun have glossy type.
Thanks.
*
For cabinet and table top we provide 5 years warranty on workmanship.
Normally I only order square type for keep in stock. smile.gif
Melamine don't have glossy surface, but another type of MDF board got glossy surface, but price more expensive and have to really take care to avoid scratches.

thx for the detailed explanation ..
Is there any way to verify whether it's "bearing wall" or "block wall", as the wall now oledi painted properly ?
*
Easier way is to hack the wall, bearing wall built by concrete and steel rod, block wall is brick but hollow inside.
Pro way is read from the structure plan. brows.gif

Hi all, I have been reading this topic for quite a while. However this is my first post here. Really have to ask your kind advice:

I will be getting keys for my 1st home (condo) soon. I plan , and rebuild everything with either a solid surface or granite top.
For this solution, do I need to install new tiles on the walls from buttom up till ceiling? Or just install at the middle part (between table top and cabinet)? Trying to save cost... Pls advice, newbie here.  icon_question.gif
May I know all your feedback please? Which will be a better way?
Thanks with much appreciate.

Added on October 3, 2011, 7:28 pmHi Erny,

I kind of like the concept of this kitchen, including the small glass mosaic.
Do you know where can I get those? And is it manually arrange by the sifu to make up the effect? Please advice me, tq.

Eric will be giving me the quotation of the kitchen cabinets, hopefully u can give me discount on that. Thanks!

The mosaic's tone actually from black to white, we just paste another piece up side down below it so that it look like from black to white then black. Hehe!

If the concrete table too old then better dismantle it and make a new one. Many of my customers want to save the money and keep the old floor tiles, after we install the cabinet and they will regret and said they should change it coz now the kitchen look nice with the cabinet but look weird because of the old floor tiles.. Haha!

What is the length of ur concrete top? rm6K is very expensive. normally they will charge u a small amount to hack the existing concrete top if you give him the new concrete top.
So the labour for new concrete top is around RM90-100per foot run without tiles, you can buy your own tiles.

Those glass mosaic you can buy from tiles shop, maybe around rm15-20/pcs(1'x1')...it wont cost u a lot...cos u just need to lay between top and bottom of kitchen cabinet only.

I bought mine for dry kitchen 7 feet long x 2 feet height, so i need 14pcs x RM16(mine is square type not long size) = 200++ and labour also around 140. which total cost me less than RM350.
*
Ya, right! Mosaic price normally from rm15-20 only. Unless u choose those crystal type, it look like sweet and it is smaller than 1 inch x 1 inch.

By the way, Wrb7878, your photo look so familiar, is that your cabinet? Hehe, from Unity also?

from your album lo....haha...but my mosaic will like your showroom 1...have gold mark.
I have quotation from you since last year OCT, and then get my condo key on MAY and your designer come on July.
until now my house still not complete renovation yet. but next round after the floor tiles is done, patrick will come.

Added on October 3, 2011, 10:14 pmEnry, need to ask you the mosaic location.

i ask the contractor to lay from top position at 60" downward 2 feet height.
cos i assume the GAP between top and bottom cabinet is around 2 feet?

then will it have the problem for bottom cabinet, if my mosaic lay until 36" from floor. as i assume the soild surface will install at 34" then another 2" cover by backslash? i believe u able to make the backslash more than 2" incase cannot cover until the mosaic?
*
Normally the distance between table top to bottom of wall cabinet is 27 inch. We always design 33 inch height if you measure from floor to table top. So if your wall tiles is 60 inch height from the floor, then 60 inch - 33 inch = 27 inch.

Some customers will have higher wall tiles like 63 inch+. That's means the distance between table top to bottom of wall cabinet will be bigger.

If you plan to put on the mosiac, you have to put more than 27 inch, because 24 inch as a distance between base cabinet and wall cabinet actually a bit small..So normally I will place 30 inch/ 2.5ft.

You also can place behind the hood too. But better ask patric to mark for your contracktor.

Also, do u mind to explain the differences between wood grained and melamine board?
What are the pro and cons, also what are the cost like for both? TQ

You can get in any tiles shop. Last time I bought in Super Ceramic tiles shop in Jln Reko.
Melamine board also have wood grain or solid colour.
Maybe you can look into this website and check.

This kitchen cabinet's size is around 14ft x 10ft, 11ft length maybe can't fit for 2 tall cabinet like the picture.
