just visit GH just now, according to them they don't offer any repair service for PS3 since no part.

I'm not the first one to complaint to them regariding this issue.

What they advised me to do is to contact Sony Singapore through email. Let sony take it from there.

According to that fella again, there is possibility that Sony will do 1 to 1 exchange for the unit. biggrin.gif

But if i'm not mistaken that only applies to SG machine, which mine is a HK huhuhu..

Just drop a mail to them just now. Will update you guys with anything.

Thanx 03 and Tot for advice biggrin.gif

========================

Thank you for the information. We are sorry to inform you that CECHA12 does not come under list of the local support of Singapore models.
Repairs of PS3 are certified by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan. Hence all the service parts and testing procedures/tools(hardware/software) are
provided by the factory in Japan only to the country that officially markets the PS3 model.

As such, you are advised to refer to Sony Malaysia

yup just know bout that sad.gif

talked to few parties already. this is the solution:

send mach to hk to some relative/kenalan (that i don't have) that relative/kenalan will send to svc ctr for repair. also, will collect once it is repaired.

hk svc ctr wont accept courier from malaysia, though i offer them to pay to courier it back.

basically, i'm f**ked sad.gif

just got a word with citilink courier. the only courier service that will send it to HK and pick it from HK and send it back to me. but too darn expensive.

will be getting the one in ebay.

pengajaran berharga, beli lah dari singapura biggrin.gif

spoke to all service center, in Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong they can't do much unless the machine is with them biggrin.gif

tough luck

Added on August 27, 2007, 11:21 ami tried to ask some shop at sg wang yesterday regarding this issue. one of the shop gave me a very shocking answer.

Did you try to put pirated ps2 disc inside?

No.

Did you try to put pirated dvd inside?

Yup.

Haa.. the system got locked already. It's not the lense prob. PS3 have this mechanism to lock system is pirated stuff is inserted.

Hurm...
