i moved to a new house, my ps3 is not on hyperdrive anymore. nampak sgt my previous place was hot.

just sharing with you guys, according to afrojo, the internals of 40gb model is a but different from 60gb,
if you want to put a fan, make sure the air flows in the from air vents on the ps3. below the control panel, not on top of the thing when you make it stand. because the vents there, are partitinoned. so no use  am using my ps3 now like usual, and has been running like a champ. credits to bro afrojo |

erm.
Just to share my experience. I fixed my YLOD problem, and it went away. Thats goodlah. But one thing, I noticed the moment I switch on my PS3, the fan does not kick in. Instead, after 5 minutes, it will go on hyperdrive mode. No biggie, but really distracting since i have to crank up my speakers to overcome its noise. But, last time before my PS3 was hit by YLOD, the fan occassionally kicks in hyperdrive, and when it does, I feel the air behind it, a bit hot. Now, the air is normal air, only the fan is loud. Weird eh.. |
