beside the sounds, the feel of holding steering also different d, become quite weird...like u can feel something connected with your steering are scratching -.-"....

is there something wrong with the new version of myvi?? i got my new car recently and find it "no power" compare to my fren's myvi. both is SXi. We got 2 new myvi and 1 fren with the old version. we find it the new version is kind of "no power" and no syok. izzit coz of the new car have not gone through the 1000km service? but the difference is quite huge i would say.

maybe send ur car to p2 SC for further checking... we difficult to justify your problem thru here...


maybe u try to switch off ur air con and try again...
otherwise maybe ur friends always heavy foot and the ECU reading was different...

both car is switching on the air cond.... shouldn't the new car suppose to have better "power" compare to the 2 year's old car?
we are driving the same road... when we go makan, i drive my own car (new car) then i complaint this to my fren(old car owner). then when going back, i drive his car and he test mine (we swap cars). he also have the same feeling as me. there is another fren who buy car with me together, i tested his car as well, it is just the same as mine (no power) compare to the 2 years old myvi.
i think this is not normal and when i drive my own car, the car is jerking like ...... but when i drive my fren's old car, it runs very smooth. But my frens old car got add the cosway fuel saver thinggy. izzit bcoz of that stuff that makes the car more powerful?

my Myvi is almost 1yr old~ haha...
just received a letter from Allianz reminding me to renew my policy...
they included this "road warrior" things which amounts to RM70...didnt state whether its optional...geez...1.5k total..but lucky i got NCD =)
so wanna ask which insurance comp is better/u guys wud suggest???

only 1.0 version doesnt come with this feature if no remember wrong...

ya thats what i trying to say... dont u think that a new car should have better perfomance coz the old car already has wear and tear.
but now the thing is, the old car have better performance than the new car.... i tried with 2 new car leh.... still the old 1 better. and all of the from the same variant. 1.3 SXi

I have a little problem here

I use auto 1.3 MyVi

I've changed my stock spark plugs to iridium and stock air filter to K&N on January
I feel the difference when pressing the throttle. It gives some 'kick'

the problem now is, I've just service my car last saturday (16/5/09) at perodua SS13 sc, and the 'kick' is already gone
that service was the 4th (14k km) and the items changed were
1) oil filter
2) engine oil (semi synthetic)
3) gasket drain plug
4) gear oil
5) radiator coolant

supposed that i change spark plug and air filter in that service but since i have changed them before, i told them not to change these 2 item

maybe the problem is the gear oil?

i also notice that the radiator coolant level doesn't change since my last check (a week or 2 before service). SC tipu kah?

as we heard previously... the SC caused one of our myvi owner windshield hair crack...
but still recommended look for p2 dealer SC instead of p2 branch SC...
dealer services usually better than branch...


your statement no 100% correct lo... how u define the new car better than old car?
unless u means different ECU, different engine type, different rim, different gearbox... then different story...
or unless u means ur friend myvi 10-20 years old... then different story...

wear and tear doesnt means bad, proper wear and tear are required for each car... it called "engine break-in"...
it ensure the engine component's in proper position...

hence not only ur engine still in "virgin" condition, all of ur car parts also in the same condition such as gearbox, wheel bearing, drive shaft, etc...

otherwise we can say that your friend car was a "experience business man" due to the time... your car was a "inexperience baby" that just learn to walk only... if for those 10-20years old car categories as "dying old man"...

but the possibility which may effect the performance between old and new car... that is ECU software version..
different version different reading... as i remember the oldest batch of version (2005,2006) lead the bad FC but the improved version (2007) fixed the bad FC issues... maybe urs 2009 have different ECU reading, low FC but low power... maybe your friend high FC but high power...


that quite subjective... anyway to ensure the SC no change ur iridium spark plug to stock spark plug before?

they might overfill either ur engine oil / gear oil or mayb both~
very hard 2 say about their service unless u get 2 c them do it for u~

thats why dealer SC is better than p2 sc.

its smaller, so you don't need to walk a huge distance to see them work on your car. most of the time just walk out the door, you can see your car.
less people also mean they don't rush to finish your car.

if you are in cheras and opt for dealer SC, i recommend Salak South dealer SC. they take their time, make sure every nut and bolt they removed are tightly secured. they have time to take your car around the shoplot to check for any abnormal sound before service and after service.
