There ain't any big brakes company design for myvi since the 1st batch Myvi comes out.. All massive brakes with branded names like Brembo, Endless, VTTR is bloody hell expensive which will cost u few thousand of bucks. But there's another cheap alternate way to convert ur Myvi brakes into super braking monster where u can choose Nissan Skyline R32 drool.gif 4 pot conversion for ur front brake system. For rear u can choose Honda EG9 or Toyota AE101 rear disc conversion. All these brake conversion required a custom bracket as it holds the new position of ur brake caliper, as the rotor size clamping position. Usually front conversion will be easier than rear conversion because rear disc conversion there is another problem of ur existing hand brake cable, another job need to be perfectly done. Hope these helps icon_rolleyes.gif

Security upgrades next year, Myvi owners told
By pekwan
Created Tuesday, November 10th
Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 07:34:00

PERODUA Myvi owners will have to wait till next year to get their cars fixed for free at Perodua service centres
to prevent airbag thefts.

“The field-fix will only be ready in January and we will brief all Perodua service centres on the necessary details starting next month.

Only then can Myvi owners receive the free upgrades at the respective service centres,” said Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd operations director Suhaimi Anuar.

Yesterday, Malay Mail frontpaged the issue of Myvi cars being targeted by thieves — particularly the airbags,
which are sold on the black market to unscrupulous parts dealers.

Thieves with the technical knowhow can easily open up the Myvi hood and short-circuit certain devices to gain access to all the vehicle doors. Once they manage to do this, stealing the airbags is no longer a problem.
According to Suhaimi, an exact date when the owners can have their cars checked cannot be given because the availability of the supplies needed cannot be confirmed yet.

“A meeting was held to discuss this matter today (yesterday). Hopefully, we will be able to start the field-fix for our customers by the end of January or the beginning of February.”

The models produced recently do not have this security problem as the cars have had a software upgrade. But those who purchased their vehicles before April will need to visit the Perodua service centre to get their vehicles checked for security upgrades.

The repair work is basically a retro-fit to fix the alarm system so that it will not be targeted by the thieves easily.
The alarm will be triggered if thieves try to open the hood. “We will also be able to check which cars will need to fixed by checking the chassis number. This will help the service centres decide whether it’s necessary for the vehicle,” added Suhaimi.

Perodua also confirmed it had no plans to make any special announcement on the matter at the moment.
Kuala Lumpur and Malacca police have formed special task forces to target the syndicates ever since this
spate of bizarre Myvi airbag thefts began cropping up last year.

Kuala Lumpur deputy CID chief ACP Khairi Ahrasa confirmed that more than 50 cases have been reported in the Sentul district itself — mostly in Wangsa Maju, Setapak and Kepong.

Meanwhile Malacca CID chief ACP Adnan Abdullah said the state had recorded more than 17 airbag thefts with the majority of the cases reported in central Malacca. Malacca police are working closely with their Kuala Lumpur counterparts to nail the syndicate.

There are some 194,000 units of Perodua Myvi (premium and SE) that are fitted with airbags, out of the 355,000 units of Myvi on the road as of September 2009.

Any 1 can confirmed this???

wats wrong with having good brakes???

u can never have too much braking coz at the end of the day itll come down to ur foot.

but if ur brake not strong enough u press how hard oso the car wont stop... at least with stronger brakes u just control with ur foot to get the sufficient braking power.

more is better thumbup.gif
