how bout the nv+nv+crossfire board? does it work as well?

It works, also on Vista, coz its not SLI technically, the second card functions as a physX card, so CF board can be used as well.

you sure?

coz AFAIK.. vista onli allow one vendor driver for display at any one time.. if there is 2vga with different vendor (eg, ati & nvidia) the card not connected to vga will automatically be disabled by vista

I'm referring to Terrence's post, he was mentioning about using 2 nvidia cards on a CF board.
One nvidia card as gpu and one as physx card on a cf board.

why u ppl need Nvidia to have PhyX??? actually in ATI there is supported PhyX... just benchmark never claim to read any result from it....

So...ATI itself will do.....

ermm...i mean ATI does have PhyX supported already... but only benchmarking are not able to get any extra result from it...is it so??

correct me if i am wrong

Erm, if you are using ATI card, it is your CPU's that's doing the calculations for physX, not your GPU.

8600GT and above claimed to have physx support. Still, my friend 8800gts 320mb doesn't have support for physx. Weird, it could be driver then.

even 8400gs has physX. Early G80 doesnt have physX, but after driver updates, it can be used as physX card.

anyone try use sli on crossfire board b4? if plug 2 nv card wat will happen?
*
SLI cannot be done on a CF board unless you are super pro that you know how to hack it. You can put 2 nv cards though, one as gpu and one as ppu.
