QUOTE(KahLooN @ Aug 20 2009, 01:22 PM) Oh my, our thread had fall back to page 4. Recently this thread is like dead. No active post here.Guess this thread is going to tapao by end of this year. What happen lately? Anyway, nothing much happen i guess? PCI-E on P4 rig? I guess that would be kinda hard, our proc will barely cope up with the faster GC. |

QUOTE(KahLooN @ Aug 21 2009, 11:40 AM) Yea, that is why I immediately ask those things when I saw him reply. Super Pi should be about 40s i guess. Let me hard guess, mostly all estimation SuperPi - >37sec 3DMark05 - 8500 3DMark06 - 4000 Fast show us the results, I'm waiting. 3D mark 06 i only manage to get 3.3k like that as my proc is a bit slow to handle it. |

There are not so many softwares which is working in 64bits environment. Even with a 64bits OS,most of the softwares are still running at 32 bits.Moving to 64bits isn't a necessary.

I guess many of us also busy with work and travelling around, not so active here recently.Bad news and good news.. My Centrino lappy went into hospita due overheat ( Added on September 5, 2009, 8:38 am@kahlonn,how are you there?Yup,not everyone afford to get new rig. I guess most of our rig is still going strong, recently loaded with Win7 too. Are you with Win7 too? @V12Kompressor, you need the P4P800-X or not? I see some one is selling this mobo with large quantity in garage sales with cheap price. Anyway i will always try to get an Intel base chipset as it has better o/c capability and better performance. Your cooler changed to CN9500 ? I think if your RAM is Hynix based chips will be easily hit at least 230FSB,what was the speed you o/c until your PC bluescreen?[attachmentid=1180055] [attachmentid=1180056] |

@fylon,were you praying that the DEll engineers replaced you a C2D series?Hehe.
llutephie's HD3850 is really amazing in AGP,if his proc o/c abit sure can break 5k barrier easily. |

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Sep 6 2009, 03:38 PM) yea. I have 2*256MB of Infineon DDR333 lying around. Let me know if you are interested. Even the min. requirement of RAM in Win XP is 128MB,you will definitely suffer even you are opening Internet Explorer only.Gonna scout around for another 512 when the current soaring price of RAM drops... Luckily WinXP only requires a min of 128MB RAM. Gonna buy another optical drive to put in windows xp and my T-Rex will back online. Whee~ |

QUOTE(fylon @ Sep 6 2009, 04:19 PM) @Ray T8xxx series Hehe.. I'm usually using Centrino C2D T5 series now. I was thought Dell with replace me something like T8 series. QUOTE(dlwl @ Sep 6 2009, 07:53 PM) i don't think it can take the graphics load of assassin's creed. i think you'll probably need an ati x1k series to play that game. ATI9550 is detected as X1050 in their Catalyst driver. ATI 9600 almost = ATI9550 while ATI9600 performance is almost par with ATI9550,don't think that these series of GC can handle the game. |
