I want to ask something about GPS in Touch HD..If i use GPS, my service provider will change me for data transfer? or depends what software i using? how about i use garmin? really noob in this..Touch HD is using aGPS or GPS? what is the difference?

Hi, wont charge any data. U can try using gps without Sim card and see . and are u using maxis? if you are i suggest you change to other telco, coz if not you will get random data charges from them. Like what happened to me last 2 months, where 3g wasn't even available in my area, and still I gotta pay 90bucks for data without ne reason. switched to digi and im all happy now.

I dont like maxis..haha..I'm using Digi..how come you didnt use 3G but they charge you?So Touch HD's GPS is direct connect to satellite..and how about map update?

BTW, thank you for your advise on SMS-call matter.
Baronic share with me the simplest way to do it......just press the call button when reading the sms.
and it work....so simple.

maps u must download off yourself, from malfreemaps or malsingmaps, its not like nokia or google maps where the maps are streamed off the net. therefore its free for windows mobile

guys.. on WinMo 6.1, is there a way to group sms?
I mean is there a way to set a group with all the contacts in it and each time you want to send a group sms, just select that particular group and it's done.
I can do it on the Nokia E71 but not sure if it is possible in WinMo. Currently running on Dutty V3.9.

my friend oso got same case like you.. he went working offshore for two months.. when came back, suddenly have to pay Rm150 bcoz maxis said he has used gprs/3g .. now he changed to celcom and looks like he's happy now..

i've tested both of these Group SMS work almost the same, we still have to set individual categories. as for SMSGroup easier to handle you can either set group of contact or All contact.
and PowerSMS add several function like scheduling your sms to be send laster..etc , but downside is you have to add all your contact 1by1 to a group. give it a try you will see the difference, for me i prefer SMSGroup.

I've just tested with PowerSMS and I think I'm pretty fine with it. Adding several contacts on the group isn't that difficult. I ain't got that many contacts to group anyway
Additional feature which I kinda like is the export of the sms. I don't think it's available in the SMSGroup.

nope.. you don't have to.. I'm also a heavy user on emails and internet.. In fact, I haven't been using any anti-virus on any WM and things are still fine

lfcteh, normal PC's apps cannot run on WM6; and WM6 apps cannot run on normal PC. The code foundation is very different (PC - x86; WM - ARM-based) so don't have to worry about. Unless some smart virus hacker starts making the virus to work & travel on both platforms...

oic, thank you sifu here. I have read that most of you all have upgrade the ROM, I am using 1.18.707.3. Is it adviceable to upgrade? Because my phone hang before untill I have to restart my phone. And during boot up, it come out with message asking to send microsoft error. Any sifu face this before.

My first post in this forum. Have been reading v1 and now 2 of the forum. Very interesting indeed. Decided to stick to stock rom for the time being though would love to upgrade to Manila 2.1. I just want to check if it is only me experiencing "Connection failure" for QuickGPS the whole of this week? Was working well earlier on. But please to say that GPS locks on within a few minutes even without QuickGPS. Thanks.
