its usually 3 working days minimum. unless u're a d1ck like me, i call em every 3 hours to pester, and say i need it for work, etc etc etc. then maybe 24 jhours or 2 days lol
*
that long huh doh.gif calling every 3 hours sweat.gif

looks like checking / fixing PPC is not as fast as a normal phone...

BTW anyone tested out kwbr's topix custom ROM? getting tired of waiting for new HTC's official ROM for SEA region...

Guys, do you have any sms alert delay? Say the person sent the message at 10AM but at the same time, I did receive the sms but it didn't alert me/sms tone doesn't appear. say at 1030AM I want to play with my HD, then suddenly the ringtone for sms appears. This is quite annoying since I reply to my friends quite lateee. Sometimes it's an urgent sms sad.gif
*
nope, i didnt encounter this problem, but i did have a preblem once where there's a new SMS but the the LED at the power button didnt flash green, i did a soft reset and it back to normal...still using stock ROM...

did u install anything lately? try sending a SMS to yourself after soft reset to see if the problem persisted...

hmmpp... alot of user on dutty's rom. how come no 1 is using Panosha? less problem perhaps?
*
i was looking into this custom ROM along with Topix...found both Panosha's black pearl and topix very suitable for me as i prefer to have a custom ROM that similar to Stock ROM, then install those application cabs myself...

edit:
icon_question.gif
anyone experience this problem before: I can connect to the wifi but when i try to go to any website i'll have an error saying something like "could not connect to the remote server...make sure your Internet connection is active and check whether other applications that rely on the same connection are working"...

i try using both opera and IE but with the same result...browsing thru xda and internet for solution but yet to find any that solve my problem...done my settings ( ike go to Settings > connections > wifi > wireless networks > network adapters and set "My network cards connects to" to "the internet" and also Start > Settings > Connections (tab) > Connections (icon) > Advanced > Select Networks and set "Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using:" to "My Work Network")

can anyone could recommend any solution?

It might be a stupid question .. but how do i tweak it to "wake up on new sms"? thanks ...
*
you can use a registry editor cand do the following: "HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIN\RIL" "DisableSMSWakeUpEvent" from "1" to "0"

or to make life simpler, you can use HD Tweak to set the "wake up on new sms" registry...
you can get it here: HD Tweak

all this information you can get from the 1st post of this thread whistling.gif

Added on June 2, 2009, 12:51 amHi guys .. just wanna ask u .. can you HD use the landscape view to type in sms or email? mine can't seem to work... i tried to change the registry to allow manual screen rotation but it does not allow me to change value 1 to 0 ...

please help .. new HD user here... cheers....

Added on June 2, 2009, 1:29 amHi guys ... I am really in trouble now .. I'm not sure wat i've done after installing a few applications & soft reset .. i can't seem to get into my touch HD... i mean .. when i'm asked to enter my pin / sim / password, i can't seem to type anything on my screen.... apa sudah jadi???... anyone know how to solve this .. & also can anyone advise me how to do a hard reset??? thanks guys...
*
using stock ROMs, HTC only allow landscape mode in very few applications, like opera, HTC photo album, others are not supported (including sms)...thus you need 3rd party software like gyrator (it availble on the 1st post), or flip-it to enable auto landscape in SMS screen...that manual screen rotation work like it said, manual, u can set it to be in landscape mode in settings, but once you go into HTC TouchFlo home screen, it will go back to potrait as TouchFLO doesnt support landscape mode, well at least in Touch HD...

please do note that you'll lose all data from your device including applications...depending what software you use to do backup, you might need to re-install all your programs and settings once you hard-reset...think of it as "formatting" without the need of reinstalling your OS...

*
trust me, u do not want to know.... sweat.gif

here are some method you can try, not sure if it helps though:

if you enable WEP security at your home wireless AP, go to your wifi settings and enter the encryption key...next go to your network adapter tab --> IEEE 802.11b/g adapter settings and select server-assigned IP...

Since you have installed Dutty's rom, is the 3 seconds ringtone delay solved? Mine is still having
ringtone delay.

Cheers,

Daneva

wondering if you are using mp3 as your ringtone...if yes then the 3 second delay will always be there...if you use tweakHD to solve it, you will realize that the "without delay" option will always be reset whenever you change your mp3 ringtone and also reset your phone...

one way to minimize the delay is use WAV files instead of mp3...the delay is still there but it's not as long as 3 seconds, around 1 second...the option will not reset itself if your are using WAV files but the ringtone volume will always be at 100% (in my case, not sure bout others), if you manually change the volume, the "without delay" option will automatically reset itself...

May i know which cab are you using for your clock at your home screen?

QUOTE(daneva @ Jun 25 2009, 09:51 PM)
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I used WAV files and the delay is still 3 seconds .
I even use the patch to fix the problem but when HTC HD goes to sleep, 3 seconds delay still there.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=258109

I thought it's a ROM issue and if we have a cook like Dutty or Davideuck, the problem will be solved.
After installing so many version of cooked rom, the delay still there.

Cheers,

Daneva

sorry to hear that...hopefully MS will solve the problem in Windows Mobile 7...not sure if the problem still remains in Windows Mobile 6.5...

hi anyone can recommend me good anti fingerprint sp? coz most anti fingerprint is useless coz cannot handle oily finger. and also say anti glare but reality no anti glare. zz
*
afraid that there's no 100% anti fingerprint SP...i havent seen one SP that will prevent fingerprint, especially those caused by oily fingers...

anyhow you can look at evilpuppy's bulk...he's selling antiglare SP and he a very good, responsible seller...i also planning to get the antiglare SP from him but with most antiglare SP, i worried bout the "noise" or "grain" caused by the antiglare SP...

Guys, asking you guys for a suggestion / opinion:

do you guys use any screen lock programs like S2U2? I just flashed to a new ROM, and i reliased that S2U2 seem to be causing the "ring delay" problem more obvious...i been using S2U2 v1.62 on stock ROM, but on the new ROM, S2U2 v1.62 seems to be causing the ring delay problem...the latest S2U2 v2.04 seems to very "heavy" with some users complaining about battery drain, but i believe the cause is more likely to be caused by background apps...

any comment on programs such as touchlockpro, sensorlock and throttlelock? which one would you guys recommend...

I'm using Pocket Shield. Its serves my purpose as it prevents from accidentally pressing on the home screen or answer button when taking out my phone from my pocket. I've tried S2U2 before & I don't quite like it although it looks cool, something like iphone. Hehehe..

So where do you guys download games & applications? Been searching high & low & can't find much.
*
ok will look into it...

i've stop using S2U2 ever since the incoming delay issue appear. to prevent accidentally answering incming im using Inesoft Phone.

i see...unfortunately Inesoft Phone is not free, i download trial before, very nice interface though...

I know most of you are on cooked roms...but anyone here upgraded to the official htc rom for Malaysia? the mail was sent by SIS a few weeks back... thinks its 1.59... and the email advised to go the the service centers

Any comments from those that upgraded
Thx
smile.gif
*
I did tried the official 1.59.707.0 ROM a couple of weeks earlier, it was better, more responsive, faster than the 1.19 stock ROM that come with Touch HD when i first bought it, but TF3D wise, it's basically the same...

no wonder i cant find it in HTC SEA support site since need to go to service center, really make me wonder why need to go service center for ROM upgrade while it cant be done by the users themselves? because of the "SD card missing" and "USB no longer functioning" issues that have been reported, thus needing a "special" way to flash? rclxub.gif

OT:
is HTC Hero available here in SEA? look at the picture attached, if it's available in Malaysia, i feel like testing it...

agree with DrWho, if you could wait a bit, then i would suggest wait for blackstone successor...HTC wont be releasing Windows 6.5 update for HD, so i believe it wont be long...maybe it will be officially announced when Windows mobile 6.5 is ready...

skylightlava, is HD your 1st PPC phone? you can head over to xda-developers to get more ideas / issues with Touch HD...

read from xda that radio 1.14 is a bit on the warm side (the main reason why i didnt update to this radio) compare to other radio, but then i felt radio 1.13 (which i'm currently using) is not as good as radio 1.09 as i experience drop calls before in my room when using radio 1.13 doh.gif

if you decide to use radio 1.14 do let me know how the performance...
