Guys, after using a while HD, I got a few questions want to ask..
1. Why the sms is something like conversation? how can i change it? or it is like this in WM?

2. For the ROM Upgrade, is it will delete all programs and data in my HD? reference link : http://www.htc.com/sea/SupportDownload.asp...cat=2&dl_id=490

3. How can i set my HD don't use 3G?

Ok..by the way, upgrade radio will void the warranty? any disadvantage? 
And is it necessary to flash ROM if we flash radio? if only flash radio, won't have any problem right?

anyway, any keyboard input recommend? I like the default keyboard, but it's too small..Full QWERTY got some bug with it..

We flash cooked rom because we like to "play" with our phones and maximise its potential. Microsoft firmware is "safe" and developed for the masses to ensure no major complaints that it is unuseable or hanging issues.

It is analogous to why people esp guys spend Rm 20000 - RM 50000 just to upgrade their car sound system or similar amount to modified their car's engine/transmission or bodykit. Sometimes these costs is similar to car value or even exceed the car's value. For example I have a very old Cefiro ( bought it new and use it 19 years  )  - one  guy bought it from me and spend 3 times the car value to modify it just for drifting purposes. A more common comparison is most people will spend a fortune renovating their houses whose costs usually is 50 % to 100 % the house value
In all these cases why do people do it ?? :  to be different ? to have a better enjoyment of their asset ? to maximise the potential and value of their asset ? or too much money dunno where to spend on ?

Off digressing, we flash cooked roms because we want to maximise and "push" our units to perform beyond what Microsoft intended;. Some of the advantages of cooked roms are:

1. Better memory utilization : MS roms memory built up very fast and if you browse a lot and multitasking,  you find out of memory issues fast.  Cooked roms nowadays by default increased memory by 10-20 % ( depending on which cook )

2. MS roms builtin a lot of stuffs which majority don't used; so in most cooked roms these are removed as you cannot uninstalled it in the original unit

3. Some cooks offered CLEAN or LEAN rom which left a basic functioning unit  ( my favourite) : I then install in what I like and I save at least up to 20MB of storage memory from MS rom

4. Some cooks build into their roms a wide range of useful utilities for those who are too "lazy" to find/research/or install such utilities

5. Some guys change their roms because they preferred the new icons setup and icons layout ( these if you put in some effort you can easily do yourself ). For example I like CellPro lite roms but I hate his color scheme /icons - so after flashing I change all the icons/folders/layout according to my own taste. I like his rom because it is really lean compared to others and offer fantastic low memory utilizations

6. Microsoft is continually upgrading their builds and all these cooks capitalize on it and built it in theoir roms ; for example the HD the manila build has progresed to 21885 and at WM 6.5.3 while the original HD firmware till now has remain unchange.

Now you can run WM6.5 ( so many versions available, at last count at least 15 )  on the HD.

You can also now run Manila 2.5 with some bugs on the HD ( which was developed for the HD2 ) or run another version of WM6.5 ( build 280@@@ onwards ) where is more finger friendly and obvious start menu relocated to bottom. The variety of cooked roms is fascinating

So guys who do not like to see the same "dashboard when driving" every day change their "dashboard" often . In our case of roms,  this do not incurred any cost just time to install/test/evaluate - so much so if you look thro the XDA forums you find many regulars ( including me) who just cannot stay long with just the same rom and continually changing to find their "ultimate solution "  - we are what every one calls "Rom freaks or rom addicts"

TIME is what a retiree old man like me have loh !

So as long as the cooked ROM is for Touch HD, there is impossible got problem??

1 question..what is the difference between USPL and HSPL? which 1 able to flash back original ROM? which 1 more safety?

does anyone of you having a problem with no audio while using skyfire 1.5 when playing video from youtube? ive notice when i browse using maxis data connection, then there is no sound. but when i use streamyx via wifi, then i can get the sound.

I flashed my HD today..but after flash, the screen got something wrong..after I press power button to turn off screen and I turn it on back, it ok..I flashed EnergyROM..

How to flash back stock SPL if I flash to 1.56?

I use USPL, and my stock SPL is 1.14..but I flash 1.56 based WM 6.5 ROM..so do I need to flash 1.56 SPL in order to flash 1.56 based ROM? 

Is there really a SPL 1.56?  I thought the latest SPL is 1.54. I do know of HardSPL 1.56.OliNex

ROM upgrade mode means same ROM but different version? So it cannot do restore when totally change new ROM? 
It depends. Sometime you can restore with different ROM, sometime you can't even restore with same series ROM. You just need to try.
Ok, since you all strongly suggest Sprite Backup, I will use that 1 in the future..
Btw, can it restore program as well? how about setting? 
You can restore EVERYTHING. It takes me only less than 10 mins to restore everything after I flashed a ROM.
My program all installed in memory card, so do i need to install back after flash cooked ROM? 
There is no need to reinstall any program if you can successfully restore your backup. Everything will be intact eg settings, programs etc
I'm able to run those programs in my memory card..but how can I create shortcut so in the future I can run the program without go to the directory?
At your SD card>Program Files>copy the lnk or exe file and paste it at \Windows\Start Menu. Some exe files are very big, eg Garmin. lnk is preferable if you can find them if not your can create them if you know the path.

Ok..then how can I create .ink if I got .exe file? 

Thanks..After 12 hours using this Energy ROM, or WM 6.5..I feel the Messaging is not as good as previous 1..it is threaded SMS and I can't change anything
