$ is certainly worthy to flash.

You need not worry about SPL version when you USPL. Your concern is only if you HSPL at lower version and want to flash with a ROM that requires a higher version SPL. USPL each time you want to flash a new ROM and you will not encounter any problem.

IMHO, to play avi, TCPMP is the best freeware. For $$ware Core Player is the best. wink.gif

5mm wider and longer and 1mm thinner than HD. The size appears to be tolerable. Have to see the actual beast before deciding to switch.

help, my htc touch hd cannot detect my 8gb micro card suddenly. What can i do.

Try to get your PC to read the SD card. If you are lucky, ie PC can read the card, back it up to your PC. You need to reformat the SD card to enable the device to read it again. This is quite a common problem.
I have to reformat my SD card but luckily I backup all my SD card on a regular basis.

If you buy Omnia 2 you will still be looking to upgrade to HD2 later. Might as well go for the kill and get HD2 biggrin.gif

the only downside is no front camera, but who would use video call anyway. and also VERY BIG to carry around, definately will look weird when you talk on the phone. HD2 will coverup half of your face  tongue.gif

Only 5mm wider and taller and 1mm thinner. Acceptable for a 1GB processor biggrin.gif
BIG also reflects your manhood flex.gif

Looks is not that important. What is important is what HD2 can do after you install this program. drool.gif

hi there,

who know how to flash the ROM back to the stock ROM. my HD has problem ( the touchscreen is not responsive anymore). when i touch or press the screen nothing happen. i only can communicate with my touch HD through USB connection rite now. i need to send it back for warranty. or can give me the link where i can learn and follow the steps to do it. i try to search the XDA forum, but i couldnt find it.

tq very much.

Before you flash back to original ROM, try a hard reset. It would most probably solve the problem. Original ROM is available at XDA Wiki Blackstone. wink.gif

Flashing ROM will void warranty?? Please guide me on this  thumbup.gif

There are many type of third party ROM floating around. Some are for WM6.1 others WM6.5. This is a typical WM6.1 ROM from Dutty.
Installation instructions are also provided. Google for other ROMs

Ok, I will spend time to study there..but just want to know the concept and basic first..
What is hardSPL?  hmm.gif
*
There is hardSPL and uSPL. Read it at HTC blackstone wiki.
For your case use uSPL so that when you flash back to original ROM there will be no trace of flashing cooked ROM.

Greenish screen means you have flashed wrongly. The spl does not match. uPSL first then flash ROM. It will solve your problem. brows.gif

I agree, buying a HD now is not the wisest choice. In 3 months time you will be itching to upgrade to HD2. The difference in price of HD and HD2 is not substantial but the performance is wink.gif
