Hello Afie

Answering your questions below

1. may i know what u mean by 'external antenna slot'?
- As you can see E160 series and E156G has an external antenna slot beside its Micro SD slot...
- External antenna can be purchased to get better signal in rural or bad reception areas but it is costly though...
- K3565 is actually E160 but it was renamed due to Vodafone OEM purposes just like K3520 is actually E169 (both with Voice and Micro SD Slot) and not E169G (no voice and Micro SD slot)...
- Both E160 and E169 comes with external antenna slots but as for both K3565 and K3520 doesn't come with one...

2. Huawei K3565 HSDPA 3G USB Modem Stick 3.6Mb have a data usage function?
- Yes, you can monitor how much of data used through the dashboard...

Hope that helps... Thank you...

Hi there

We have new Huawei MiFi Modem (E583c) with external antenna slot which would be suitable for places where coverage can be real bad.

RM450 with 1 year warranty.

As for external antennas, we have a few types ranging from 3.5dBi to 10dBi.

Hope that helps and hearing from you soon.

Thank you.

Hi

We have tested with a few of our other units and we did not encounter such problems.

You can drop by our office to test your purchased device on the spot.

If the problem occurs only to your device, we will then immediately replace another unit for you.

If the problem doesn't occur to any of the devices including yours, which means the problem is irrelevant to the device.

Please bring the entire packaging, accessories, battery and etc for the purchased device including your own laptop/netbook and SIM to perform several tests on the spot.

Regards

Hi there

It is clearly proven that the device is not faulty as you stated yourself it was working fine at our office.

Moreover at our office, you were testing the device for a long duration and no operational problem occured at any point.
Therefore it is not faulty as you assume.

All your claims above are irrelevant and baseless towards the device an we can't grant you an exchange for that.

Please read the terms and condition below of the cash invoice where "Goods sold are not refundable".

There are so many other factors which can cause the problem as you've outlined which has nothing to do with the device.

One of the main problem may be related due to the network instability or infrastructure at your area.

The point here is why should we replace a device which is operating without any problem?
How are we suppose to justify the unit is faulty and get a replacement from our supplier when it is working fine?

Lastly, we can't offer full-refund just because you assume it is faulty, we can only trade in your device as it a used unit now.

Regards

Hi there

No worries, please go ahead and exercise your rights as a buyer and we will also exercise our rights as a seller.

We have sold so many units and no one faced any issues except you.

If we are selling faulty units, there will be tons of complaints here but fortunately one and only from you who fail to understand simple explanation.

Moreover on 27th June 2013, 08:43 AM Post #92, we have clearly stated to bring your own laptop/netbook to prove your claims but you failed to do so and came unprepared.

Finally, we will deal through e-tribunal as you insist.

thinking to buy this soon.

just my thought when i read Steve75 issue, maybe it caused by the usb cable, or usb hub. If the cable is original come with the modem, then need to plug to different usb port direct to computer or power plug socket, try to not use usb hub just like some harddisk also got this problem.

Hi,

Yes, we have ready stock and do let us know when you're ready to buy one.

Yes, as you have outlined, that could also be a possible problem too due to lack of power supply.

got the modem from the seller at the shop on Saturday.
Everything was fine, but manual is missing ( that's why i'm not able to go into modem setting without the user guide), only noticed after went back. Left there or it suppose taken out by you?

Hi there

At times, some of the packages are not equipped with the manual.

We have e-mailed you the manual on the same day of purchase at 1.53pm

However you can download the manual via PDF from https://www.hightail.com/download/bWJweVd1K3g5Rlk5WThUQw

Just take note that on page 6, it must be http://bigpond.4g instead of http://telstra.4g to access the interface for the device.

Thank you for your purchase smile.gif

Kind regards

yes, received the manual thru email. Thanks!

p/s : i'm running it without the battery and using power plug always on. So far no disconnect, but will see it is stable or not without battery.

Hi again

Appreciate your notification on receiving the manual.

However, using the device without the battery or power plug is not indicated or recommended by the manufacturer neither in their manual nor their technical datasheet specification.

Their official datasheet can be found on the link below
Link: http://www.netgear.com/images/NG_760S_29Mar1318-74100.pdf

That is the reason we did not indicate, assure or recommend such operation at all.
We recommend the battery to be inserted at all times while the device is being operated.

Thank you again smile.gif

Kind regards

Hi there

Both units are LTE 100Mbps ready.
The function is totally different for both as 1 being a MiFi Modem Router (Sierra 760s) and another being a USB Modem (Huawei E398).
The results are almost the same, however Huawei products are known for reliability and being the market leader 3G/4G products.

All our units are original/authentic, subject to network provider logo as per our advertisement.

Also if I use powerful antenna, can we still get LTE even though place is not within coverage. My place only short of few km outside LTE coverage.

Hi there

That is something you need to refer to your IPTV provider in regards to compatibility as we did not assure or indicated that it may function since we did not provide the IPTV service.

Hope that helps.

Hi again

Such comparison is irrelevant as we did not mention on our listings that it is compatible with any IPTV.

A 3G Modem and a 4G MiFi Modem Router is 2 different devices with different functions.

Do refer to the features as we listed below on our listings.

Features:
Able to connect with any Wi-Fi enabled device
Supports up to 10 devices via Wi-Fi and 1 via USB cable
One-touch connection and LCD screen display
Hassle free installation, just Plug-N-Play
Friendly user interface
SIM Lock released for usage with any 4G / 3G network worldwide*
*Do not hard reset the device as it will cause the device to be locked again
Able to share Micro SD files via Wireless
2 x TS9 External Antenna slot
Operation time up to 4 working hours*
*Operation times and performance of battery may vary depending on operator network configuration, signal strength and usage.

Therefore just because it does not support your IPTV, it does not mean the device is faulty.

As long the unit you bought from us is able to broadcast Wi-Fi and able to connect to the internet then it is perfectly fine.

If you are facing problem with any of the above listed functions, we are more than happy to look into it and resolving it accordingly.

Regards

Hi there

Huawei E5832 is able to deliver downlink speeds up to 7.2Mbps.

You may get a slight increment in speed due to newer chip-sets being used on newer MiFi modem router these days.

We would suggest you to check with DiGi on what is their maximum downlink speed allocated for your plan.

Everyone is subscribing to Maxis these days for their known blazing speeds and Celcom is also coming up in order to keep up.

Hope that helps.

Hi

As we mentioned several times, that is beyond our control and we did not indicate at any point of time that our units are compatible with any IPTV.

Moreover, prior to purchase you didn't consult if it is compatible with any IPTV.

Therefore there is nothing we can do on our end.

We can only assure all the features listed by us is working accordingly.

Almost forgot to leave feedback. Great product. Now sharing WiFi with fellow office mate with Maxis LTE speed. Probably have to charge them RM later.

Fast delivery. Took three days from ordering and the item to arrived in my hand. This device helps me connect at LTE speed on 25th floor 1st Avenue which previously cannot be achieved with phone. Those working in 1st Avenue at the top should know.

Hi there

All types of modems/routers in the market are equipped with standard/normal (mini) SIM card slot.

However, we believe for LTE plan, only nano and micro SIM is being issues by Maxis.

You may use with an adapter but if any damage to the SIM slot due to improper handling while inserting or ejecting the SIM is not covered by warranty.

Hope that helps.

Hi,

Would you mind to elaborate what do you mean by not stable?

Have you tried locking your connection settings to 3G / WCDMA / UMTS only ?

For example, I am using Skype for teleconferencing, sometime the line is clear and at times it is lag and choppy within the same call itself.

I am using the default setting by Maxis.

Hi

That could be due to variation of signal in terms of connectivity.

Try locking to 3G only and see if it improves your connectivity and update us on your progress.

Hi there

Do check your PM for the pricing.

Yes, the device can be used with a power adapter or USB cable without the battery being inside.

However, on some occasion if the power supply is not sufficient, it may cause the device to restart, therefore the battery would be needed to be inserted.

More details about the package contents and etc can be found at http://andrewsestore.com/store/bigpond-sie...router-new.html

Hi there

Sorry, we don't have Sierra 754S.
Moreover Sierra 754S doesn't support our local LTE bands and believe it only supports on HSPA+ 21.6Mbps.

Therefore, Sierra 753S would be a better option as it supports DC-HSPA+ 43.2Mbps too.

Hi,

The T-Mobile Huawei E392 that you purchased supports LTE TDD / FDD on 2600 MHz.

In Malaysia, we are currently operating on both 2600 and 1800 MHz on LTE FDD.

Hi

You can either drop by our office to get it unlocked or if via postage you'll need to bear the postage costs to and fro.

However we can confirm that the issue is only for Sierra 760s and not 753s.

Hi, bro.

Can the 760S work with Celcom's 4G LTE sim card?

I got Celcom's Portawifi usb modem but it doesn't support 4G, so that's why I want to replace it.

Also, any other device u're selling that supports Celcom's 4G LTE? Thanks! biggrin.gif

Hi there

Yes, our Sierra 760S functions with both Celcom and Maxis LTE.

If you are looking at something similar to your Portawifi, we have the latest Huawei E8278 USB Dongle Modem Router that supports LTE 150Mbps.

As for MiFis.

All our 100Mbps can be found at : http://andrewsestore.com/store/network-dev...dem-router.html

Hi, thanks for the speedy reply.

Will consider the Sierra 760S, need to research a lil bit before I decide to buy, if it's ok.

Meanwhile, the Huawei E8278 shocking.gif is out of my ~RM300 budget range. sweat.gif

Anyway, browsing thru ur 100Mbps usb dongle modems, some are cheaper than others. Any difference as in performance/brand/etc?

Hi there

Sure, take your time wink.gif

Yes, Huawei E8278 is new and our units are authentic Huawei units with original packaging, therefore it is pricey.

Some only supports single band for LTE FDD which is 2600MHz, therefore a little cheaper.

In Malaysia, we are operating on LTE FDD 2600MHz and 1800MHz at the moment.

ZTE units are a little cheaper as it is known to anticipate extra heat comparing to Huawei units.

Hi

For 4G
760S supports all our local 4G/LTE frequencies, however 754S doesn't NOT.
Therefore it is not possible to obtain 4G speeds using 754S in Malaysia.

For 3G
760S supports DC-HSPA+ 43.2Mbps but 754S supports HSPA+ 21.6Mbps only.

Hope that helps.

BIGPOND SIERRA 760S ~ 100Mbps LTE FDD (2600/2100/1800 MHz)
NEW UNITS @ RM400 with 6 months warranty or RM450 with 1 year warranty

Selling very expensive!
same unit can get for RM330 with 1 year warranty
*
Hi there

We are not selling Sierra 760s anymore. The price was meant for a few months ago.

Moreover, if you hard reset the unit, it will be locked again and we believe most/no dealers won't unlock it for you and we charge RM20 every time for the unlocking since we have loads of request for unlocking wink.gif

All the Sierra units that were purchased from us comes with lifetime free unlocking which no dealers will offer.

You can consider our Huawei or ZTE models within the same price range as they are the market leader and more reliable than Sierra.

can this mifi modem operate without using the battery?
example, connect charge cable to the USB port when using it?

Was wondering if this could be done since the USB modem router for 4G kind of expensive for now... this might be a cheaper option.

Hi there

Although certain Sierra units can be powered without battery but through power adapter, we do not guaranty for such functionality as it is not recommended by the manufacturer.

Hi again

Unfortunately, there are no units for LTE for RM250.

The cheapest we have is Vodafone Huawei R210 with 10 hours battery life at RM350.
Link: http://andrewsestore.com/store/vodafone-hu...router-new.html

This model is the most reliable and durable unit we have for 100Mbps.

Hi again

Unfortunately, we don't sell Sierra 760S anymore.

Moreover, the problem with 760S particularly is that it gets locked whenever a hard reset is performed.

Therefore, you will need to send it to your supplier to get it unlocked again. (Most supplier don't entertain such request as we get lots of unlocking request from customers and we charge RM20 to do so each time).

However, the units that were previously supplied by us comes with lifetime free unlocking service provided a proof of purchase such as invoice is exhibited. (Postage charges are to be borne by customer to and fro).

Huawei is no.1 and followed by ZTE as no.2 in the mobile broadband industry based on our experience and research throughout the years of being in this business.

Hi there

Yes, it will be locked again upon restoring to factory settings or when hard reset is performed.

We can unlock it for RM20 and it can only be done physically at our office.

If the unit was purchased from us, produce the invoice and IMEI number, we will unlock it for free.

However, postage costs will be borne to and fro by the sender at additional RM10. This additional cost can be eliminated if walk-in is performed.

Hi there

Yes, all our units are unlocked and can be used overseas provided the frequencies are compatible.

Usually no configuration is required but at times minor configuration has to be done in order to be used.

However, all Sierra units are currently sold out.

Please refer to all our other available models from http://andrewsestore.com/store/network-dev...dem-router.html

Speed categories are on the left. 100Mbps, 150Mbps and 300Mbps are 4G units while the rest are 3G units.

Do contact us if further clarification is required.

Hi there

Actually, even Sierra 760s is actually not recommend or mentioned by the manufacturer to be used directly with power adapter, without battery.

There were many instances where our customer previously faced issues like the device restarting due to lack of power and the problem doesn't occur with the battery attached.

Units with battery are meant for mobility purposes and not for heavy duty usage including for use with power adapter.

If you want something to be used with power adapter, you should consider getting a wireless gateway.

Hi

Sure, answering your questions as per below:

1) Yes, we have extra battery for sale. RM70 with 6 months warranty
2) Yes, all our 4G antennas can be found at https://andrewsestore.com/store/accessories...al-antenna.html
3) The firmware on the unit should be an optimised version and we recommend not to update it. Updating is at your own risk and may brick the device which is not covered under warranty since not manufacturing default.

Yes, we have battery for Huawei E5832 too as per https://andrewsestore.com/store/huawei-hb4f1-battery.html

Thank you

Kind regards

Hi there

The current firmware on the device doesn't support band locking features.

If you could provide the firmware version with the band locking features, we can check with our technician if it is possible to upgrade.

I don't think so is the firmware that added the feature, i saw someone here that added this feature manually, http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2515438. So as in the picture, guess its do-able, but I am not knowledgeable enough to try this, perhaps your technician understand what they are discussing about?

My first item bought from Andrew if I'm not mistaken was Meteor 3G 18dbi antenna, that was years ago, maybe around 5-6 years. Contacted late at night yesterday asking if there's stock left, didn't expect seller replied, immediately made payment for self pickup, don't want to wait for postage since today is Friday. Picked up the item, tested and working as intended. I would recommend this if anyone wants affordable Cat6 modem. Definitely trusted, kind and recommended seller. TQ Andrew.

Also added lock band using putty rclxms.gif rclxms.gif Need that damn CA B3+B7 that's the whole reason I bought this.

Hey guys! I just wanted to share my amazing experience with Andrew. I went to his shop to purchase 790S Netgear device and was dealt by his friendly employee. We sat down, he operated the device and taught me how to use it.

I thought I had issues when I got back but turned out I just needed better DIGI area coverage. *silly me* Unlike some sellers, Andrew was really patient and friendly on the phone, explaining how to get the best settings for me and I finally managed to sort everything out.

Overall, if you need that personal touch from your seller, Andrew is your to-go guy. I've had really pleasant experience dealing with him. smile.gif

As mentioned, we need to inspect the item physically first.

Parts are not locally found, therefore we may need to wait for the parts first.
