QUOTE(SHOfrE3zE @ May 6 2009, 10:19 AM) bro, what LCD are u using if i may ask? because i don't think my monitor calibration is correct. i have a PC and a laptop and both shows different output.. im using apple macbookpro...my LCD profile was using someone else's profile which was calibrated using spider pro...and our lcd was from the same batch..same model & same manufacturer(there r 3 LCD manufacturers for my batch of macbookpro)... @Seng_Kiat since u said a700 was discontinued...y don wait longer and see wad sony is coming out with???even u don buy the new one..im sure the old one price wont raise right..and pretty sure there r ppl who gonna sell their old one for new models too..... QUOTE(tanjq87 @ May 6 2009, 02:51 PM) if we use 50mm F1.4 in concert/performance or any low light condition, wouldn't the DOF is too shallow? most probably we would focus to infinity right??so most of the thing would b in focused? just my wild guess tho... @albnok bro...wouldnt a prime lens bring some limitation for concert shooting??since we probably cant move freely there..wad if the fella keep walking around...?

QUOTE(tanjq87 @ May 6 2009, 03:08 PM) Arghh, shall i sell my flash and get a bright prime? Is 50mm F1.4 make alot of difference in low light compared to using 50m F1.7? From F1.4->F1.7 is just one stop right? hmm??y sell flash???u;d have to get one eventually.....i think flash + 1.7 is way better than 1.4 itself in low light...

QUOTE(Banzai_san @ May 6 2009, 05:00 PM) Cake shot with ISO 800. Looks ok. No complain from me from noise wise. But the surrounding is too dark. The fruit shot ISO 1600 is fabulous for me. But the surrounding is brighter than I'd expect in a stage show, concert, drama condition I would presume. If I can get the same sharpness & noise level of the fruit ISO1600 shot from A300, I'd be more than pleased. However, you mentioned about autofocus problem in low light... thats is a concern Would A700 be any better in low light autofocusing? Btw, Ive handled A700 and A350 yesterday and found that Im more comfortable with the A350 because of the size and weight. But I may eventually get use to A700 size & weight after using it for some time... thus my opinion might differ later. ATM, A3xx is easier for my petite hand and fumbly fingers to handle... u can always manual focus unless ur artise is jumping around the stage like a monkey...lol...i assume normally they'll just stand or sit still at a place right... noise wise...i think iso800 on a300 is my limit...nv really tried 1600...but if ur photo is resized to small size...might not b able to see the diff...easier to remove the noise in pp too...

QUOTE(Banzai_san @ May 6 2009, 05:13 PM) Added on May 6, 2009, 5:15 pmwith pp, do you think A300 noise level at ISO1600 and ISO3200 good/acceptable/useable for low light shots such as shows, concerts? if u r pixelz peeper..i think 800 is quite bad already..lol...but if u r the 'capture the moment' type..800 stil fine for me...1600 wise..i nv try b4..i usually shoot 100~200 =p but i think if u size the photo smaller...pp to remove the noise shdnt b a prob... okay..stil not feeling very well after resting 1week..somehow i feel like i cant really shoot when im sick.. T_T c&c r appreciated...
