best if u had a tripod with u to avoid shaking/shifting...den hold ur shutter and let it shoot 3 times(assume if u set the shooting on continuous mode)

achew, focus calibration and dust cleaning is covered under warranty. However you really should get your own blower.

Dude, don't worry. I had the same case as you. I lost my receipt as well! I just send the camera to service center and they got the details of warranty of your camera. For few times I also never bring my receipt or warranty card. Bring yourself and camera and it would be done. Warranty and service from Sony are great,  thumbup.gif fast and reliable.

Added on May 3, 2009, 8:14 pmBTW, always give it a try, you won't lose anythings.

but i kinda agree with wad hafeez wrote there....if sony accept it without receipt n warranty card...den everyone could wait until their set has some prob den go register online...in that case their warranty could last longer isnt it? =p

Crap, just discovered that my Canon Powershot A520 can change EV in video! Oh well, next round. Had to record a few times as there were unwanted background noises (dogs barking, etc.)

don worry..its good enough...

i did exactly the same things quite a few times...either my blower is really weak or all the dust is sooooooooooooo sticky..i hardly see any improvement..lol

hmm albert, i thought we must not dismount the lens while the camera is on? Because the sensor is charged and will attract more dust? and face the body down and blow so tht the dust wont stay inside the body?
*
if we don take off the lens..how we suppose to blow the sensor??the sensor is covered if u off the power..correct me if im wrong..

and yea...make the sensor facing down is good..i always do that..but sadly..it doesnt help in my case...

okay..sick fella shd go slp earlier....ciao guys~

alpha_company, good that you're using a slower shutter speed to get the ambient colors and light in, but you need to use the white card on your flash to give some forward light to the faces. The shadows on the face are not flattering!

second that~

all sifus,

i have 2 questions here which i really need ur oppinions.

1)  i have plans to buy a 50mm lens.. so i have looked around and found the SONY 50mm F1.4 n it costs RM1050.00. n someone suggested the Minolta 50mm F1.7 which is of a much lesser price RM500. i am not a professional photographer but photography has been my passion ever since i was small. Its my hobby actually.
so can anyone tell me exactly what is the difference between the 2 lenses other than the price range.

2) i have few lenses here and i don't really know why i bought it too... hahaha..maybe i was too excited playing with the lenses.. so can u suggest which lens should i let go to get a better lens.
my lenses:
a. the standard SONY SAL 18-70
b. tamron AF 55-200mm AF 1:4-5.6 Macro  (my fav)
c. SIGMA 105mm 1:2.8D DG Macro
d. SONY 75-300 4.5-5.6
e. minolta AF Lens 28mm (i bought it from a lyn forumer few months back)

currently im using A700.

Thanks
*
1)
F1.4 obviously can produce diff/better defocus/bokeh effect on ur photos...sharpness wise..i can only say SAL 50mm is quite sharp..not sure about minolta since i got no chance to touch it...perhaps newer coating helps??

2)
u got to define ur photography style first...what u usually shoot?

want to ask..
today when buy a200 the shop guy show a wide &macro 0.5x 67mm  converter(platinum 1 brand i think)mount in front my kit lens 1870..
he say the price is rm 800 is it true? icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif
*
personally i don like those thing...feel like it somehow reduce the quality of the photo by adding extra glasses...furthermore its on 1870....

if u need a wide angle..u can always get a wide angle lens next time...same goes to macro...

hi thr..

well, i am more into potrait and landscape shots. and the more reason i should get the 50mm right? so i should sell off my kit lens ya? it is still brand new, in a box..used not more than 5x...so what is the market price for it? still got warranty.

thanks
*
actually look at ur collection of lenses..there r lots of range that r duplicated...maybe u can choose a few n sell those extra one..kitlens wise..well i use mine less than 10times too..lol..but its stil in my drycabinet...i guess i'll sell together when i sell my a300 in the short future brows.gif

so u do mostly landscape n portrait...but from ur lenses..u have more long range rather than wide angle...perhaps u usually take portrait at 100~200mm??if that so..u might wanna consider about 135 F1.8 instead of 50mm??
