Biostar is ok but try not to o/c at 1.45v above 24/7..

For the proc, why don't you wait till June and sort out those new release proc :/hehe:
And for the mobo, you can either choose Dfi, Asus or Gigabyte if you want to have good mobo for overclocking :/D
But Biostar also quite good also.
AMD oc is quite easy actually :/w
Either get Black Edition if want easy oc.
BE - Only play with multiplier.
let me share my pov of these 3 brands:
dfi - pros @ solid bios, great oc potential, cons @ poor chipset/pwm coolin, slightly expensive but not as expensive as asus
asus - pros @ pwm, bios richness, great oc potential, cons @ price as always.
gigabyte - pros @ nice chipset/pwm coolin, a looker, cons @ *cold boot issue (when acc enabled). * for GA-MA790GP-DS4H
i mite be bias, but dfi 790fxb deserve to be there w/ d best like asus m3/4a79. biostar get my vote for < RM400 board, other than weaker pwm, i got no complaint. my 790gxe 128m still kinda buggy in term of bios thou...

just don't do long run timing coz it might burn the caps.. :/sweat:
not caps lah bro, if caps burst so easily then d quality control of biostar is really

on d side note, d ost caps used on non gx3 biostar boards are of Al Electrolytic (non-solid), they have low ESR which made 'em decent caps...
they have weak pwm which i think is d area they need to improve besides d infamous lego theme on t-series boards...

PhenomII is best paired with a ddr3 ram i would say... so if budget is not a problem for at all... i say go for 955BE and any 790FX mobo with ddr3 ....
yup bro, but that will involve lotsa money which lead buyers to think they better off settled w/ i7.
