QUOTE(5w33 @ Apr 27 2009, 07:13 PM) Should be the same right? Since both are using usb connector. As reported, I believe by chinamobile, charging using the usb cable to your PC/laptop or by DC, the ultimate result of the battery performance is the same. It is only the rate/speed of charge that is different ie. using the latter way will be faster. And it makes sense. However, our human mind is enigmatic and we perceive things differently under different circumstances.

QUOTE(nokia2003 @ Apr 27 2009, 11:28 PM) thank you for substantiating my point. even better, when i was working in an IT store, part time. my supervisor told me about this bloke who went to dock his 1st gen iPhone into those so-called certified speaker docks made for iPods. no prize for guessing what happened next... it got fried so badly, it won't even start up. however don't get overly alarmed alright? these things only happen once in a blue moon! Can I ask you a pertinent question? Say, after syncing my iPhone for some apps it is not fully charged yet, we would do well, going by what you said, by disconnecting it from the laptop/PC and continue charging using the cable plugged in to the power point?!

QUOTE(stutzedward @ Apr 28 2009, 09:47 AM) bro buzza, I will try tht comparison on my iPhone. Yeah, I do agree different fone has different type of batt. Can I attempt to put this topic to rest? We have listened or rather read all the arguments but I think it is up to each individual whether to take heed of what were put forth. However, it is always good to know the dangers associaiting with a certain methodology. At least in that manner, we embark on somethings with adequate knowledge. That, my friends, is why it is good to have forums like this. With that said, let's all enjoy our precious little gadget and take care of it. Cheers.

QUOTE(TeK_KeN @ May 25 2009, 06:07 AM) just a normal question to all iphone user. do you guys prefer charging your iphone through pc or power plug? i found out that my iphone last less longer if charging through pc. This subject matter has being discussed and deliberated at length and like so many issues, there are differences in opinion. So, we all do what we think is better for ourselves.

QUOTE(iodo @ May 7 2010, 04:35 PM) Let say my battery life is almost gone - 1 hr max. Anyone know where can I change the battery at Low Yat and how much is it? I don't trust the folks at Low Yat especially when it comes to iPhone. Suggest you look up Hanxz at GS here. He should be able to help you.
