Full HD = 1080p

HD = 720p or 1080p

with the right codec, u can use GeForce 8 or above and Radeon HD 2000 or above GPU to provide hardware acceleration when playing HD videos, instead of using the CPU...

Im guessing if Ubuntu can support the GPU thn there should be software to enable HD on it as HD has been around long enuf for the linux world to come up with something
*
iirc, CUDA is only avaliable for Windows for development, thus i ve the doubts...

even Folding@Home also dun ve GPU client for Linux...

^^ thanks astria.... but wanna ask... the mobo chipset importance for? support of DDR what RAM isit? or isit bios?
*
the chipset are responsible for provideing the features on the mobo, such as PCI-E, SATA, etc etc...

for AMD, DDR controller is built into the CPU...

oh wait, maybe Phenom II x3 more suitable for gaming... more future proof...

Added on April 27, 2009, 12:16 amas for MPC-HC, juz use it to open ur videos, u can use it without installing...
