u mean the 185.68 beta driver for hybrid graphic??

is it stable? haf any issues regrading this driver?
*
yup, that's the one...

i am not a S42 user, but from wat others who ve tried the driver:

1) Fn + F10 dun work, if u need to switch the GPU to use, u need to do so on the task bar...
2) battery life when on integrated graphic is severely shortened, from 4+ hr to slightly less than 3
3) Temp of 9600M GT is lower by an average of 5C...

anyone tried running Cryostasis???

i tried on my S41, be it Low, Medium or High Setting, fps dun change much, stays lower than 8fps...

guess it's the PhysX that's affecting it...

btw, read before that on Radeon HD 4890, it managed to get 12fps on avg... laugh.gif

Added on April 27, 2009, 12:06 pmand ya, i ve given up on mediafire, tried many times also cannot, now uploading to badongo, 200MB of 483MB done...

Holy mother of god .... 12 fps on 4890 .. lol what u think we going to get .. like 5 or less laugh.gif
*
i think the PhysX killed all the fps...

afterall, Radeon dun support PhysX... so it's totally unfair if u really use it as benchmark...

they are going havok way, but it's cpu+gpu, no exact date yet.
*
Havok is actually more popular in console games...

and in terms of number, there are more Havok games than PhysX games...

So now the havok going to pose another problem in choosing a GPU .. lol but must Intel Proc to get Havok .. lol what are they thinking AMD will suffer  unsure.gif
*
no la, Intel has the engine, but dun ve the hardware to run it efficiently...

so they got AMD into the game, and both use Havok together...

that leaves Nvidia to play with PhysX by themselves...
