Bought it for RM200. I think larger tanks are cheaper because can hold more co2 but I don't have the space to store them.

where do u bought regulator? price?

coz the 1 i bought the smaller version doesnt really consistent releasing co2... thinking of buying 1 more for my 2nd tank...

bro, i saw this type of fan at jalan pasar selling... but the end of the wires dun have any plug...

my question is, how do u connect to power supply & what shoud i buy for the plug?

i will show later mine that i bought, not so expensive fan, around 20++ comes already with plug and the fan quite heavy as compared to urs type, stated have some ball bearing inside... ur type is much cheaper but i dunno how to connect it hehehe...

Is that new hairgrass in there?

i suggest trimming all the old hair grass... down to the soil after seeing new growth.. because the old leaves are just BBA magnets lol..

12 hour might be too long... try to reduce to max 8 hrs...

may be ur lights too strong for 6 gallon tank... reducing photoperiod might help also...

sae wont eat algea at glass wall... u need to have otto to clean the glass; i believed green spot algea...

Added on September 30, 2009, 9:01 amu might want to consider of gradually increasing photoperiod... from start-up, on only bout 4 hrs (1month), after a while increase to 6hrs (1month) and subsequently maintain at 8 hrs...

this is what i read in some of the forums... sifus might want to correct me if im wrong...

some reasons:
- light too strong + long photoperiod
- too much nutrient + strong lights + long photoperiod
- seldom water change
- insuffient co2
- insuffient filter flow rate

I wouldnt say that.

I always trim my glosso. It gets thick no matter what the temperature. ( I run a chiller at 24C mind u) .. I trim once per 2 weeks FYI smile.gif

And I like it smaller anyways haha.

my last trip to ekano aqua east saw their new set-up for 4ft tank aged bout 2 months... their glosso stick to the botton and leaves very closed to each other and the layer is only 2 layer at most... seems like it doesnt need to trim at all and its true enough that when i asked the person there, he said no need to trim as will stay low... other then strong light, it also need cold water...

when i refer to my set-up, he said my 55w is enough for 1.5ft tank but not cold enough... now puzzle already...

whats ur light set-up bro?

how large is the canister filter? l/h?

I suspect its due to undersized filter... also, why no step 1? lol.

@shortpants,
My set-up is a 3feet tank(90cm x 45x45) powered with 300w. ( 150w MH + 36wPL x 4)

Here's a proof of creeping glossos.

Well, that was at week 3. the tank is over 2 months now, and I trimmed the glosso lawn 3 times already lol.

mine is not that case... urs is bout the same with the 1 i saw at lfs ekano...

my glosso is crawling but doesnt stay low... my tank is only 1.5ft wit 55w pl 28-29c...

so is it due to insufficient lights or not cold enough?

@shortpants

Bump up your lighting, and lower your temperature.. 28~29C is far from favorable. 27~28 would be better.

after reading some article on how planting should be, decided to tear down glosso waiting no more...

this is my last hope for glosso to stay down or else will have another replanting but no glosso again...

started around 930, take out water and left bout 30% so that will be easier for planting. surprisingly water didnt turn tu milky as what im expecting... from carpet to ground zero only took me bout 5mins, then took my own sweet time go select runners for replanting.

took me bout 1 hr to replant everything and put back the water... kautim around 1130
