QUOTE(ching4ever @ Nov 4 2009, 05:22 PM) that is CAE, brown color type. CAE got yellow and brown color, both gone crazy when got shock. Small tank not really recommended to keep them, use otto better. thanks for the info..BBA, no such thing of under control, it will soon slowly spread out to other places like glass, filter, plant, wood, tiny till that you won't spotted them, once you spotted, it'll be too late because it is every where. I had that experience before and it was a 4ft tank, end up tear down whole tank. Better be safe than regret later. |

QUOTE(chuppy2 @ Nov 8 2009, 09:24 PM) Copper is an enemy of all invertibrates.. If you have snails or other shrimps crawling in there, and they're alive, then it's not copper snails are blooming in my shrimp tank... i'm worrying how to remove them... Copper can come from fish medication, anti snail medication etc etc etc. Drew my shrimps die one by one... not massive suicide.... |

QUOTE(chuppy2 @ Nov 9 2009, 08:32 AM) if snails are present, scratch out copper.. Now I'm suspecting your filtration power and water quality.. also, how's your maintenance? HOB filter... quite a large one... so filtration power i guess its ok... i'm guessing the bio filter (carbon) inside the HOB filter... is it true when after sometime, carbon will release *whatever it previously filtering* back into the water??.... QUOTE(pinchboyz @ Nov 9 2009, 04:54 PM) QUOTE(pinchboyz @ Nov 9 2009, 04:57 PM) dun lansi.. but i want leh... can give me some??.. QUOTE(chuppy2 @ Nov 9 2009, 06:48 PM) @cata, Carbon is NOT A BIO FILTRATION MEDIA.. and yes it is true it will release all the gunk it sucked out after a period of time... oh ok... chemical filtration... so should i remove all the used carbon and jz maintain the sponge inside for mechanical filtration??... i'm also using sponge at the intake pipe to prevent shrimplets being sucked in...BIO media are things like Bio rings, ADA BIo rio, etc etc. Carbon is chemical filtration Drew |
