Hi cheeann, I went to tyre shop yesterday n do the alignment n balancing 4 wheels, after tht the alignment still run to left side n vibrate at 90km/h and above.
I went back 2nd time, he asked me to add-on 4 round ring(chinese called "kun") to attach to the sport rim claim tht it wont vibrate. but end up it still the same and charge me RM100 for 4 round ring. shit.. am I get conned? paying so much but end up like didnt do anything. really fed up..  doh.gif  doh.gif
*
i don think the "O ring" is really necessary, if done alignment and balancing still the same problem, either the workmanship not good, or there are some other things in your car that causes the problem.

sometimes condition of the road also can cause steering vibrate at high speed.

there is no number of limit of tires you can buy, you can buy a whole stack, but for your car, depends on which tire worn out then change the one

Hi, im beginner into tyres...

Have few question to ask:-

1) Im driving neo using stock continental tyre with spec 195/50/R16. Izzit good, shud
i consider
to change other brand if sux?

2) I found out very rare other brand have this spec, hard for to find the item & pricing for it.
Where can i get the price list for above spec?

3) What other range of tyre spec that i can use with my stock 16" rims besides 195/50/..
*
You can try out 205/55 R16 which have wide range of tire to choose...
you prefer handling or comfort... but i tell you 16" tires not cheap...

Price list from AW forum...
Hankook V12 Evo - RM 280 @ Teoh Brothers, Sentosa Klang ( April 09). Incld bal + inst + nitrogen[/color]
Michelin Pilot Preceda 2 - RM420 - GS Auto Jalan 222 PJ (Mar 09)
Bridgestone re 001 adrenalin - RM520 - GS Auto Jalan 222 PJ (Mar 09)
Falken ST115 RM 230 Special offer package (at least 2) Hock Li Klang (jan 09)
Toyo C1S - RM360 (May09) ,Ed tyres S.Alam
toyo proxes t1r - RM 370 - JB - Toyo - Tmn Rinting (dec 08)

you can change 2 at a time or 4 at 1 go...
try our Hankook V12 or Goodyear Assy...

price taken from AW forum...
Hankook V12 - RM317 Tek Ming, Sunway (Apr 2009) (with trade in of your old tyres)
Goodyear F1 asymmetry- RM425 inclusive rubber valve, balancing, alignment and Credit card charges, Quicksave 9/4/09

FYI if you feel PP2 is a bit hard you can try out Hankook V12...
i changed my 195/55 R15 from PP2 to V12... feel a lot more comfort...
but it is directional tires... for V12... F1 Assy is a non-directional with good grip also...
look at my older post for the Opel Corsa test using a few 17" tires...

satria neo's converted tire size is 205/45-16~
by suggesting 205/55-16 it totally oversize for 1.6L car~
normally 205/55-16 is for car's at least 1.8L - 2.0L car n above~

Hmm... Here asking again behalf of my mum, as she wants to get a set of yokohama C.drive AC01 comfort tyres (yea, somehow right?) on the "kereta kebal" version of saga, 185/60/R14 STOCK... i did mention right? haha

Still using the original tyres after 3 years +_+, and now due to she knows how to use the Maju Expressway (MEX) or KL-> Putrajaya for a fast runaway road, she tends to drive faster (around 140KM/h based on the GPS).. and i feel unsafe for that tongue.gif

So therefore.. Anyone knows approximately how much does the pricing is for 4 rims around Seri Kembangan, up to puchong areas? or ... maybe.. up to sunway if price is considerable... smile.gif or other recommendations...

EDIT

http://www.yokohama.co.nz/availability_chart1.html

185/60R14
WHILE STOCKS LAST C.drive AC01 -??? Obosoluting? lulz

XM1 ka.. Too.. Boring dy LOL, as my car is using it previously (got cheap sales of only RM143 per unit inclusive of installation around 3-4 months ago for 175/70/R13)

It's Just.. perform as not big or should i say.. not a lot of diff from A drive.. smile.gif

And yes, Falken 912 Tends to "botak" faster if rough driving, that is now I am facing now where speeding around 120-140km/h plus she "heavily" uses the breaks

PP2 ka... lol.. that's a little OB, except.. i'll see if what happens... IF the C.drive is obsolute or what.. already 1 week since i notify my "biasa" workshop, but he say very stock limited... always want take also no stock.. duno la.. ~_~ maybe yokohama supplier very lazy ? or too busy? hahaha

165/55/14? lol.. boleh meh? lulz

of course you will get better handling on the Hard side wall tire... smile.gif
but soft one will give you more comfort... you choose lo.. smile.gif

PP2 price is a bit high... too bad Hankook V12 don have your size if not you can give tat a try...
Dry and Wet handling compare to PP2 about 80~90% cos side wall softer....
but traction on both dry n wet is comparable to PP2... braking also...

anyone went to Tek Ming in sunway before?? how is the workmanship? worth to go there?

my cousin he got a half cut satria, half a year never start it, tomorrow need to try to start it and maybe will change a new set of tires if necessary, look forward to V12, Xm1 or Ze912, current tires size is 195/50R15, maybe will change all to 195/55R15 for more choice.
