where is the cheapest place to get 165/55/14.. area shah alam

just now afternoon went to jalan kapar's hin leong tyre shop bought 4 continental premium contact 185/55 R16 for my honda city. they charged me 215 each piece.
here's the list of issues i not satisfied:

1) those worker dont really bother to sell to me.(maybe cuz i look too young?)

2) keep insisting me to change the valve and use nitrogen gas which i already rejected it numerous time

3) long waiting for the person to do alignment to my car(ard 20min)

4) i see the first foreman which doing the alignment on other 3 cars before mine did not attend to me. instead another youngster drove my car to the machine and jacked up my car to do alignment. he took a torchlight flashes the bottom of my car and said my chamber having problem. i denied my car moving different directions as it's still 2year old car and i've not encounter such problem. and he asked me not to blame him if the car gonna go different direction after the alignment. and to avoid paying extra for the so called 'chamber fixing" i totally rejected it. and during the alignment i see the monitor of the machine it showed my car's tyre are out by by ard 30degree. after he took my car for a test ride and passed back to him, he said no problem at all. on my way back to subang, my car will go left side when i placed the steering straight.
so to solve this i drove my car back to ss19 to my usual alignment sifu and he totally fixed it without saying its chamber problem.

conclusion: as this is 2nd set of tyre i bought from them, still same old "chamber" issue trying to con our money and purposely set our alignment wrong.

i would suggest any future buyers better dont pay the rm15 for their con-job alignment service. just buy their tyre and go back to your usual alignment sifu.

The tauke is easy to talk and nice. I just notice that my new tyre is a really a new tyre. Not last year tyre that i am mention before. Mine is from august 2011 manufactured as the date that is stated at the tyre is 3411 and 3511.

so i feel the price and the other things that they give to me ( as it is free alignment and balancing), it is cheap.

Hi can anybody help me ? I'm Looking for Kumho Ku31 Ecsta tyre's size 195/50 Rim 15" Anybody know where i can buy them in Johor Bahru ?

I'm also shopping around for a pair of 175/70/13 tyres. Seems that size is not listed in the price guide. Any reason for that? I though this size is still very famous?

I'm using Yokohama A Drive and I've been loving it. If I can't find a better tyre, I will stick back with the A Drive. BTW, I have really bad experience with the Goodyear, crashed my car driving a pair of new Ducaro. So I would NOT recommend it at all. Michelin is good, but it's too expensive. No experience with the Continental before.

I will need to change it this Saturday, let me know if you have found a place to change yours ok? Maybe can go together get a group purchase discount!

Pusat Tayar Klang, Kota Kemuning - Yokohama A Drive : RM135 (include balancing)
Ban Hooi Klang : engaged, cannot call
Hup Sun Sunway : Yokohama A Drive : RM140 ; Falken SN828 : RM135 (stay away from this!)
Tek Ming Sunway : Yokohama A Drive : no stock ; Goodyear Duraplus RM135

which part of kota kemuning o ? i dont have GPS ...lol...

You can paste the location in maps.google.com.my, it will point to that location. It's actually nearer to Klang than Kota Kemuning

anyone got 255/35/R19 pls pm me, any brand oso can (but not cheapo capalang brand of coz)

prefer seller / dealer in pg, butterworth or bm area....

Price for Yokohama A Drive 175 / 70 R13 is RM125, the cheapest I can find so far.

just changed my tayar, 4x 160/55/14 bridgestone potenza 850rm with trade in old tayar at old klang road

Can i know @ Klang or Shah Alam can get fair price for ( Hankook , Continental , Michellin Tyre ) Pls help if you know. thanks

Nobody wanna try out Kumho tires ? Kumho ku31 seems to have very good reviews...

Price almost half cheaper than those famous brands , but they perform almost on par with em ... bang for bucks ... Soon it will be just like Hankook . Wasn't that expensive when just landed in Malaysia market... once people dare to try em ... Prepare the price hike ...

ku31 used to be manufacture from Korea, but now the tyre come straight from vietnam factory, and is imprinted on the tyre itself.

I too went to search for the ku31 today.

got the price at 195/55/15 @ rm205

sadly only got 1 piece left for R15, anyway any one can confirm if rm205 for 15" is consider standard price or slightly higher?

I asked for my size 195/50/15 today a shop in Johor Bahru quoted me Rm 190 ... Hmm...

slightly cheaper for lower profile series, but i think is quite expensive considering that it is now manufacture from the vietnam factory instead of direct imported from korea.
