Is it a 5.1 speaker plus amp OR DVD Home Theatre or PC speakers? And you need to know what input connection your system has.

5.1 channel surround can be enjoyed if your PC got digital connection (HDMI, optical or coaxial) AND your receiver must have digital connection.

Beside digital connection, you can also use analog, but unfortunately most laptops only have 1 analog connection (the headphone jack).

If PC speakers.
- you need an external 5.1 surround sound card unless the speaker got HDMI connection (which is rare)

if 5.1 speaker plus amp.
- make sure it has HDMI input connection.

DVD Home Theatre
- also make sure it has HDMI input connection.

The new VAIO Y series have a very good design, almost similar to SR's design. Spec-wise similar to the discontinued VAIO TT with the Core 2 Duo SU technology but the Y series has no DVD drive. I would rather buy this model instead of any similar/almost similar price netbook.

Even though your laptop speaker is that good, you (or at least me) shouldn't appreciate the beauty of musics and movies with just listening them with just the laptop speakers.

Buy a good pair of a speakers or headphone.

Just my opinion.

Keep away from CS model at all cost. Not just the CS36.

My friend wanna buy F series but very hard to find. KLCC sold out including display set. BTS sold out too. Only yesterday the stock came, but today already sold out.
