QUOTE(tim55 @ Sep 18 2009, 04:09 PM) It's great and not great at the same time. CS1 & CS2 model suffer the fan problem and many owner experienced noise sound from the fan and the worst case is their laptop keep restarting every 10 minutes. But i think by giving 1 more year warranty is a good move by Sony. The problem can be solved by simply sending the defected VAIOs to the Service Centre for one time only. Took about 1 week for them to repair. Poor specs. Because it is heavy, it may hurt your back bringing a heavy RM3599 with poor specs at your back. for me, not worth it. Better topup a bit for FW55 or FW56 or get the CW16. QUOTE(x_goldman @ Nov 5 2009, 10:14 AM) Ic, thx V12Kompressor ... I heard 2 weeks is the fastest already if you take other manufacturer's serviceing period, it would take even longer. But it's not really necessarily 2 weeks, sometimes you can get your set back withn 5 days if there is no problem with the spare part etc. Just go directly to their main service centre northpoint MidValley, maybe even faster 1 or 2 days. How bout the Repair and service of VAIO like how long it take to repair after the laptop send to service center? Is is common to have the laptop repair in the service center for 2 weeks? Would appreciate if someone can share experience on this... |

How much total damage? However, spare parts is a problem for BenQ and not to mention the amount of time to get back the set when you sent it for RMA. QUOTE(chungdavi @ Nov 17 2009, 08:22 PM) Was using my CS36GJ model just now, loud noise came from the upper left part of the laptop......the area where the ventilating fans are..... Wow CS3x model also suffers the same problem And more vigorous vibration can be felt from that area....... The laptop can still be used normally but the noise is freaking me out..... The condition continued for a few minutes then only returned back to normal....... I wonder what prob can this be??? HDD??? Or the fan???Or anything else??? By the way, I also realized that the CPU usage % is up to 60-80% all the time, eventhough I didn't open any applications...... Just wanna know if any CS model user has experience the same problem as me before..... It's the fan.. Worst case scenario is, your VAIO will be shut down automatically, also because of the fan. Send to the service centre and ask them to repair and do general checking and services. Another common problem for VAIO CS is the LCD screen keeps flickering (worst case) and horizontal lines at the top or bottom or both part of the screen. better send to the service centre before it's too late (warranty expired) CS model has lotsa defects. This is the first VAIO i've seen that so many people sent to the service centre for the problem i've mentioned before. The CR model (previous model that replaced by CS) doesn't suffer this kinda problem. Send directly to the service centre in North Point Midvalley for better and fast respond. Agree with cynical66. People LOVE to talk about bad things more than good things but i really don't recommend 'the people most favourite' - VAIO CS.
