Same set up as last time...
Just addition of SVS PB12-Plus Sub...

I have put the sub in the back area of the room till i move into my dedicated home theater...looks tidier at the back cause my bedroom too small smile.gif
Also surround rears and rears obviously not in the correct places right now...

You have surround and back surround placing together?
*
this is temporary till i move to the dedicated room where i will have everything in more ideal placements smile.gif

right now i am using Dolby Digital EX sound mode... this replacates the signals sent to the Surround and Surround rears

When u watch movies, won't your bottles shake??  tongue.gif
*
a couple glasses from these things and everything will shake anyway wink.gif

no actually i have not reached volumes that make the bottles shake...
occasionally the frames of the window panels vibrate from LFEs but that itself rarely happens...

Hi, i'm totally new on home theater system. Now my house is under renovation and i would like to know, how u guys hide those wires, especially wires for the 5.1 speakers. do i have to cut the wall, insert the pipe and conceal them behind the wall?
Need some ideas please.. thanks.
*
if hacking ceilings and lack of carpet is not an option...use some cunning furniture/tv rack/table/under curtain/rug positioning to hide...

floating racks + sellotape is a simple and classy ways to hide cables (one of my fave tricks)

have fun and wreck that brain! there is surely is a solution!

heres some ideas from my previous set up:)

http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&#entry30262661

front speakers hidden from "under that tv rack"

rear speakers and sub wires hidden from under the rug and behind curtains...

Yeah dedicated HT room. Would have loved a fixed screen except there's a window behind the curtains so I didn't wanna board up the windows behind. tongue.gif
The real world is over rated!
unless you have a direct view to the hotty chick neighbour's bedroom, i say block the windows permanently with a fixed screen...

AV rack can be placed at front or side as long as your cable are ready for that.  Mine is at side but given me a choice I will place it at front as it is quite tide since my room width is about 14' wide.

Throwing a 120" screen should not be a problem but what is the distance from your sitting position to the projection screen?
*
he already mentioned he was watching 120" from a mere 12/13 feet

mika,

your room is dedicated and probably more acoustically friendly than my nightmare enclosure! yawn.gif

tan also tells me that your gear sounds VERY good... just some tuning on timing of the SVS and you should be satisfied...

we should meet and compare notes sometime
