this should solve some side wall reflection point issues...

will treat ceiling and maybe some bass traps later on....

treating a whole room with absorption/diffusers will make a room sound too dead or live...with the exception of bass traps...too much of something is often considered detrimental to performance...

even an entire carpeted floor can be blamed for some environments to sound "murky"...ever wondered why recording studios often use parquet flooring... or how auditoriums have shiny slick surfaces? some engineer must've figured something out...

the placement of my diffusers are to address the first reflection points from my front left, front right and centre speakers from the walls...

i have yet to address the ceiling reflection points or bass trap issues... still trying to think of something pretty with function smile.gif

not big actually... the "listening area" is only 14 x 10.5 feet...

it is flanked by a walkway in the front portion that leads into the bedroom and outdoors...

noticeable difference in AQ after treatment?

honestly... i think the audible differences are still negligible... perhaps the ceiling needs to be treated also...

but the "clap" trick (where one would just clap the hands and listen for any echos) is improved

of course the clap trick doesn't cover an entire freq range...

yup thats what i thought also... i read in other forums that a grille/cloth is effective in making a speaker sound warmer... since mezzo tweeters are exposed already then the highest freqs are not effected... smile.gif

ill get a proper CD player soon enough smile.gif
gotta get back all my CDs from overseas first tho...
