U can save the 4 cents by disable your AGPS =)

Tools>Settings>General>Positioning>Positioning Methods
Correct me if I am wrong

By the way, I would like to ask everytime you connect your precious E71 to PC with Nokia PC Suite...how you guys remove the cable after finish everything?
Is there a standard method to disconnect your E71 with PC Suite???
*
depends on you. For me i just pull of the cable. Alot of ppl mindset still say need to safely remove. The windows inside setting already enable cache so actually u can just pull out.

And yes you are right Only enable Integrated GPS the rest all untick.

Pros = FREE
Cons = Very slow locktime to satelitte

4cents for getting faster signal...
*
depends 4 - 10cents to retrieve the satellite location from satellite. If your place signal bad even with location it still cant lock. Thats why its call A-gps = Assist GPS

4 cent for each tower lock on.. So when u r movin u r bound to chg ur position so it may cost up to a few cent lor.. Not much also la..
As for removin ur e71 from pc ..i jus plug out nia.. But if u notice la.. Using jbaktaskman u will find usb something somerhing running in the background after u unplug ur e71 from pc.. So more memory usage used.. Jus tat nia lor..
*
If every tower 4cents a person can go backrupt le. when the GPS signal gets weak so it request for the satellite position again. If the place you are located have good signal it will keep retrieving for the position

was at mid valley just now...Blackberry had a road show, ArGGgg !!!

as for the a-gps, just keep it on ler...doesn't cost much. ask urself, how often you use ur GPS? ur not gonna use it everyday rite? few cents each time only ler.

but then i'm on unlimited data plan so i really don't know whats the exact amount if you were to keep agps on. i'm assuming it's worth it ler.
*
if u are on unlimited = cost ZERO because already absorb by data plan.

you count la a week 50cent example 1 time u use a week X4 weeks = RM2. Most ppl here are student RM1 for their partner is cheap if other expenses they consider expensive

Haiya dont la frighten people.. The total usage is jus 40 to 80 kb damn little man.. My one is like 900mb d.. Lol.. On unlimited plan though..
*
u count lor 10kb 10cents

100 kb = RM1

1000kb = RM10

10000kb = RM100

10000kb x 10 = RM1000

tis is the total kb of each agps lock on.. while u r static.. while navigating.. i not sure whether it will increase or not.. but according to this blogger he said:"I also checked that whilst in the same phone cell, no matter how many times, you use it, there is not additional data usage only onces. So I believe, if you had AGPS turned on whilst navigating, each time, you travelled from one cell to another and there is a need to lock on to a new cell, there would be a data exchange"
while the cost may range from 20 cent to ~~~
for more info: agps vs no agps
*
If that is true imagine this what if on the same cell tower it loses gps signal? It wont get signal it only wait it reach another cell tower only it retrieve? The logic is whenever the gps signal is too weak its last resort is to use a-gps to get signal. You try it. Dont always believe watever u read on the internet. Human make mistake.

anybody of u guys use the nokia messaging IM before? Does it work?
Is it a software by itself?

This is what is written on the nokia site. " The Nokia Messaging IM application extends the power and convenience of the PC-based IM (Instant Messaging) phenomenon to the mobile environment on your Nokia device. With access to the most popular IM services, such as Ovi by Nokia, AOL Instant messenger, ICQ, Windows Live messenger and Yahoo! Messenger, Nokia Messaging IM helps you stay connected at all times. "
*
i am using nokia messaging on my Nokia 5800 and E71.

Its a software tat sync thru your email for you.

Example Free yahoo it doesnt support IMAP or POP. Only paid yahoo support POP.
But with Nokia messaging You can download yahoo mail into your phone via IMAP.

it can only turn it off from autostarting when garmin is not in use, but it will not pevent it from starting when you are using garmin.

i'm using garmin 5.4, and each time i start garmin, tsrautostart.exe starts up as well.

this is weird, mine doesn't stop even when i close garmin. i have to manually kill the process after using garmin.
*
Turn on tsautorun from setting and turn it off back for it to work

Tested on my E71

Hi, bros in the forum.

I've encounter a problem which i'm not sure it's a glitch of the software or wht..maybe some of E71 users encounter before

it's about the "contact", I've save a contact number and name. (forgot it's using PC suite ctc or i direct use the phone to save)

The problem is : The contact person called me, but my display don't show the contact person "name", it shows the "number" only.

It should show the "name" if i've saved in the phonebook right?

Additional - points for E71 flexibility is the photne book cannot "permanently" choose sim contact, need to go "option" to manual choose "sim directory". Even in the top view, i can only choose "phone" or MSN contact..no "sim ctc" option  doh.gif
*
definately is number duplicates.

Either u find those duplicates ones or like xavi said change to phone either to phone or simcard memory

*
Try to have 1000 -2000 smses + mms and some main application to put phone memory. Now my phone only left about 20mb

bad news. my E71 went dead while transferring songs via bluetooth. went to nokia SC at KB they said software or hardware problem but have to leave the phone. since i gota catch a flight to KL this evening, i choose to send it to KL instead. any recommendation nokia SC around UNITEN bangi? or i hv to go to jalan IMBI?

i think with 3690smses in inbox and 200 in sent item with 7GB MP3s n 1GB images, those might had something to do with my phone went dead right?
ps: just got back from phone shop, bought 3120C for temporary use n also as 2nd phone when my E71 is fixed sad.gif

Crazy 3K messages. Definately the risk of hanging and crashing is even higher because everytime u open the messages it needs to load all 3K messages to be available to view

yes it save my phone most of the time from dropping on the floor

1) by fast u lose grip u can catch the string.
2) u tie around your hand so if the phone drop its just hanging there.
