If so I have done that, but the problem still appears every now and then. And yeah, I have also received (and made) calls with only one bar reception, which is why I'm confused about this problem. 

One more question. With past non-smart Nokia, the one thing I don't like is the slow responsive time. How about these Symbian powered Nokia? Are they better or just as bad?

y spend too much on a phone? u gonna use it for a 2 or 3 years...then goona change it...E71 is a good deal...

can u share with us why do u feel bored with 5800?

maybe got duplicate contact kot.. the phone will go harewire ..

Advise you not to get E71. Go for other models. Where ever I go, everyone is using E71. Sien... It's like a generic phone where everyone is using it.

Well said aspire. See it depends on which type r u?want to be different?or want an ultra versatile h/p.e71 is Customizable and  has wide range of software. u need to try the qwerty to see if u can use it.I like the solid feel of the fone,just nice.reminds me of the ole 8810.

i read there is a lot of quality issue with this phone. initially, i was leaning towards 5800 xm but came across e71 & just kinda get hook to it.

I'm a touch typist, like most of us here I believe. It's odd and hard to adapt to using two fingers instead of 5 on actual Qwerty keyboard(which is why we have it, so we can blindly type).

I honestly wonder what's the plus point of Qwerty on mobile phone? We don't remember where the keys are, but instead on the real keyboard, we just put index finger on F and J, little finger on A etc. which is impossible to do on mobile phone.

My advice.... try to play around if you have a chance at any shop. If you feel good then maybe it is suitable for you. If not....? Love it or hate it. Guess why so many people nowadays using it? For me it suits my needs & still the best from my previous phone.... alpha key, WM, touch screen etc. We are not here to argue about F & J. It is about whether the phone suits your needs.

Nope, it is all up to the user. I too don't put my finger on the F & J key and I still can type without looking at the keyboard. Best of all, nearly 1/4 of the alphabet button on my keyboard is blank (the paint had wear off). The more you practice, the more comfortable and confident you will get. After some time, you will develop your own way to remember each key. It is just like driving a car, your body will automatically remember what to do next. My speed is 55~60 words per minutes with 98% accuracy (Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing test result).

It is the same on Qwerty keyboard. At first it is hell freaking hard but once your body recognize the position of the button after some practices, sap sap water already . I'm now enjoying Qwerty keyboard on my 5800 more then the conventional Alphanumeric method. I type so fast until the phone cannot respond to my speed, especially when I press 2 button so quickly it only recognize 1 letter (well the phone is not multi touch so I can't do much about it ). At the end I have to slow down and it is spoiling my fun (nokia fast fast come out multi touch phone ).

So my advise is practice more with your own personal method . Qwerty keyboard ROCKS .
