guys is surfing using the phone convenient? how to browse and so on? the navigation key do we have to press on it or just by touching we are able to navigate?
*
It's easy to navigate with Opera Mobile but still we couldn't compare a phone with a real computer right ?
It's the best phone within the budget , no other model come close.

Go get your E71 now. nod.gif

For those who going to buy a Capdase Leather case for your E71 , please take note.

There's AP Capdase available in the market , please make sure you get the Original one instead as I believe your E71 deserve the best.

Please have a look at the link below which are selling the so called AP capdase.
LINK : ONE

I'll pinpoint a few points here between AP and ORI capdase.
1 ) Look out for the side leather which the put magnet between the leather. Original one is a one long type instead of Short one with both end. ( Hopefully you guys get which thing I'm referring. )
2) The HP frame : Original one is not in transparent - it's fully in black and without the support of upper and bottom frame - Just the side. Besides that , there's three circle hole on the frame rather than 2.
3) Micro SD and Sim card holder : Original one is other way round. Sim card on above while 2 micro sd holder and bottom.
and lastly
4) The frame is not moveable/flexible like the one in the link.

Hope you guy will understand those point I pinpointed. laugh.gif

I put the 2gb inside the pouch to act as a backup but it's gone now. blush.gif

guys do you have any problem of retrieving signal when using Garmin 5.00.40? For me it takes at least 2 mins to get 3 green bars :/
*
It's normal for cold start and it's very much depends on weather aswell.

Anyone here after moved those applications like Garmin XT to GPS folder , Handy software into the installation folder and after awhile , the phone stuck and refuse to go into Menu.
If you press those shortcut to go calendar , message and so on , everything will be okay expect going into Menu.

After reboot the phone , those application list will be messy again. sad.gif

Anyone encounter before ?

Ya i mov mine to gps folder also.. Plus other third parties software to media, office and tools folder as well.. But sometimes if i remove my micro sd it will all jump bac to d installation folder again.. Sometimes it didn happen might be due to my microsd not safely removed kot.. But my games stay put the media folder.. Tis is due to all my games is installed in phone memory..
As for getting a freeze screen when press menu nvr occur b4 yet..
The 4 shortcut key can be set to shortpress and longpress as well.. So u actually have 8 shortcut..
*
Thanks for the reply , maybe it's some application crash. blush.gif

Anyway , I found someone posted about short-cut keys on our E71. thumbup.gif

After reinstallation of Garmin did you check with jbaktaskman if the garmin autorestart thingy is there?

I've experienced b4 the file can't be stopped and need to reinstall garmin.

Maybe that's why battery life is short.
*
I heard that going into Garmin settings and click Enabled and Disabled for running in the background IIANM will solve that.
Guess I gotta download Jbaktaskman and check.

Would like to ask what kind of pouch you guys using for your E71 yea?
I was using Capdase Bi Fold case for my E71 but it leaves circle marking on my invisible shield on the back due to the material was poly-urethane. I had make a replacement and dont wish to have any marks on it anymore so I puchased an original E71 black case. Just after putting it on and sliding out , there's those red fabric sticks on the edge of my invisible shield. sad.gif

Please share what kind of case you guys using.

I couldn't let my E71 barely naked , mine one is in white + the D pad are prone to sweat which causes rust on it. sad.gif

Silicone case will make it looks fugly. sad.gif

*
Good to know that you know which one is D-pad now. smile.gif
Infact , it's base coating of the chrome layer and everyone is referring it as rust.

red-queen : cozip case does look good but with the same price we could get a leather case though. Doesn't scare about scratches on the front side housing ?

QUOTE(Raralu85 @ Jul 22 2009, 04:30 PM)
Item(s) conditions:
Very well taken care of. Key differentiator points to other E71:
1. Wrapped with Gadget skin since day one, even the keyboard is wrapped along with the earpiece hole. Screen protector since first day too.
2. Comes with a "Developer's Certificate" bought at RM75 from a dealer where you can install 99% of all softwares (non original etc). This cert is tied to the phone IMEI and allows you to install almost any S60 3rd edtion softwares without requiring you to hack the phone which voids warranty (not to mention phone stability or the hassle)
3. Extra 1 year warranty from AIG which covers replacement/repair cost (bought from dealer, contract will be provided (and transferred to new owner by me)
4. New pouch (worth RM100) + new earpiece (RM50) (unused since day 1) --> Price Check
5. Garmin XT + detailed malaysian/sg map (Very route-able)
6. My screen has well balanced RGB tone (reddish) & more vivid display compared to the later E71s where it has greenish tint & darker display (Proof can be shown on pic/during purchase)
7. Battery is well taken care of since day one, 2 hours maximum digital timer-charge on every charge (nokia battery requires this!! overcharging will degrade batt life!)
*
From what he describe , I could know that he knows what he's selling(a gem). He's someone who take care of his stuff , no exception to this E71 he's selling.
He even told me that most of his friend laugh at his E71 when he fully wraps the phone but try comparing the same age phone with his. smile.gif

It's a good buy.

1. look like us invincible shield.. which make ur keypad look ugly and ur e71 less shine.. very "pucat"
2. wah need boh!! rm75!! i can get it for free lor.. funny!! hack void warranty? lol..
3. look good but i not sure bout the claim hassle..
4. half price d la.. check at e trade pj
5. able to get it done as i doubt it is ori.. no offence
6. really??? now i thought tat was firmware issue.. which was fixed after version 200.18
7. battery life is not jus bout timer-charge la.. plus ax-5 is a smart charger.. after full it will not charge anymore.. battery life is bout charge cycle--> no. of charge has been applied toward it.. normally is 1000 charge cycle b4 it degrade slowly..

well it is up to u lor.. rm1000 bro.. better get a new 1 la..it is not like getting a hefty deal there also.. no extra mcard also..
*
1) I'm having a hard time figuring what you're mentioning in your sentences. shakehead.gif
2) No comment , but if the developer cert he mentioned is those hack whereby you can install without getting your application sign and working even in the latest firmware , then it's valueable.
3) No comment.
4) Those half price selling outside is 90% fake unless you able to buy from seller which took out from new packages.
5) No comment.
6) No comment , doesn't have the chance to compare with it.
7) He did mentioned he made a claim and got a new battery as replacement so the charge cycle will be very minimal.

I think it's a good set to start with if you're looking to save some bucks for accessories.

1. Wat i m guessing is user is using U.S. INVICIBLE SHIELD..NO DOUBT IT IS A GOOD DEFENCE AGAINST STRACTH.. BUT THE DOWN SIDE IS .. IT MAKE UR KEYPAD UGLY AND THE E71 LESS SHINE.. HOPE IT SHEATH SOME LIGHT INTO THE COMMENT..
*
Infact before I made my purchases of my White steel e71 , my priority goes to him and due to his firm price , I move on with a new set.
In our conversation , I can make a conclusion that he's not using invisible shield ( not invicible ) protective film but those from wrapping stall that easily set you around 80 to 150 aswell.

It might looks ugly to others , but seller still apply it to protect the device. New buyer can always peel it off and I dont think it'll leave any residue there. New owner doesn't have to worry about the outlook condition as it'll just look as good as new one.

About the less glossy on the steel , I dont think so. My white steel have been applied Invisible Shield since the first day I got my phone and until today , the invisible shield protects and makes the phone looks glossy without the need of wiping off to look clean all the time.

Anyway , everything and every product got it pros and cons. It's just how the way you see it. smile.gif

i'm still confusing about the Invisible Shield , is it something like the laminating the phone?
*
Invisible shield is a Poly urethane film that protects the phone.
Yes , just like wrapping/laminating the phone , the only differences for Invisible shield is that it's pre-cut so you just stick it like screen protector. smile.gif
