i dont think he sarcasm at all, act for 3k u can get a reliable guitar already.
it's not impossible to get a good guitar below 1k nowaday whatsoever with 3k in hand.

if it's me, only if it's me lah, i think my best bet would be 2nd handed guitar but reliable enough to do the job for me.
maybe i go gapnap.com and grab one of his stuff.

reliable guitar?

ive learnt my lesson.

no such thing as a reliable guitar. the most reliable one is a les paul. even then, things happen (hey its life). so nowadays not only i have a bunch of effects to lug around, i bring a backup guitar with me to gigs too.

hi Julian2103,
i play for church too, besides playing outside. what guitars do you currently own? and whats your playing style? playing in church, i would prefer a versatile guitar, one you can get many tones out of. especially with hillsongs, planeshakers and whatnot having a more modern guitar rock tone in the faster songs, but slower songs do require a more subtle selection.

I used to play a squier strat. Now looking for a better guitar. Well I like the usual metal and carlos santana, john petrucci and stuff. Looking for a fast guitar. Not making my decision based on playing in church coz I want to get something I like and I belive theres nothing effects cant fix. Hehe

If you want something without a trem bar, just drop your cash on an Epi LP Standard and upgrade the pickups to either something more PAF sounding (DiMarzio PAF pros?) or just whack in EMG 81/85 or 60....... This is really a great road-worthy and reliable guitar with a tone to die for.

If you want a trem, I assume you want to shred, so maybe a Jackson Soloist or a higher end RG would do the job....... although most of the RGs still uses the Edge3 trem, which isn't that fantastic. Or since you like the schecter so much, why not just PM OpFish or Gapnap for a quote?

Or perhaps you can go with a PRS SE guitar. EchoBrain just got his Paul Allander signature PRS SE and he's absolutely in love with it.

I agree with echobrainproject.

Ltd's are usually around 1k+ plus depends which modal you want but if you insist on LTD go to sunway pyramid in the guitar shop(ground floor) there are a bunch of LTD..I think i saw ESP but rm4999 george lynch or something?

But never the less i suggest you to get a good guitar with rm3k.All the best.

ltds look nice and impressive for people who want that rock image (nice guitar finishing too) but the wood, hardware and construction isnt one i would recommend esp with 3k to spend
