just now restore my iphone 3g,after done restore,its failed to detect my sim card lahhh....y ah??is it locked?

help
my iphone 3g cant detect d capasity and firmware version using i-tunes... n i-tunes prompted me to do restore alreadt restore too many times,but its still same..cant detect capasity,firmware n its locked!!!! when start up,it just show me 'slide for emergency'.!! why ah?? |

just now i downloaded iPhone FW 4.0...but I cant get my computer to see the .IPSW extension on the Firmware 3.0, it keeps seeing it as .Zip, tried renaming but cant change extension, re downloading and deleting winzip. still have problems. Any ideas?
