As a user of DV2, i would like to post some comment about this labtop. My baby-dv2 already upgraded to Vista SP2 and latest bios.

This ATI graphics card is very good. for 1080p H264 movies playback, that only consume 20% ~ 30%(Max) of CPU usage.
tested with IronMan 1080P 1920x800 H264 AVI, 10GB file Size. This is pretty good results!!

For nomal Xvid, tested Ghosttown 640x368,MP3 700MB Xvid . CPU usage floating from 7% -20%.

IDT HD codec is good, With SRS Premium and Virtual Surround. you will get a cystal clear a loud sound from this tiny pair of speakers.
some how i found i have to with disable the mic and other unused device like HDMI in order to let the machine running without any performance degrade issue.

The sound only coming from the left side -- yes, due to right side space utilized by harddisk and the HP designer move the right speaker to center. overall, you will found that sound only come out from left side.

Recommended upgrade to ATI radeon latest driver, and bios. this will increase the performance of your Windows Movies Players.

when watching movies, switching the Power management Plan to High Performance and plug in the power cord. this will help to smooth playback of movies with any lacking or delaying.

Overall, i like this laptop and it is really stylish, thin, and great movies experience.

i grabbed the driver from the same url too.

I am using k-lite mega codec pack 5.00, with media player classic home cinema.

with below option turn on.

FYI, while checking the CPU usage, task manager have to be minimized to system tray, if on screen the cpu usage will be up another 5 -20%.

thanks for the chart reference. at least i can know what is the perfomance of AMD Neo MV-40.

http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_lookup.php...thlon+Neo+MV-40

with Score of 409,

and Intel Atom N270 scoring only 306. 2.4Watt

anyway, AMD Neo Running at 15Watt, scoring 409m AMD Neo X2 running at 18watt, scoring 766.

1 big steps for lower power consumption ... AMD good job!!! rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif
