Guys,

I owned a HP Pavilion dv2201tx. Bought it somewhere in Feb07. Recently i had major problem with it. When i switch on the power...i can only hear 1 long beep and 2 short beeps without any display. So i decided to send it to HP Service Center in Penang. After 5 working days, HP send me the quotation for parts replacement along with Technican report. Seems like i have to change my Processor: C2D T5600 1.8GHz Processor together with the motherboard as the technician reported that both are faulty. For this, i have to pay sum of RM 2438!

I bought my lappy for RM4999. After 2 1/2 years, i have to pay half of the lappy price for repair? is it worth it? I really found that the amount is not reasonable at all... i should add another 1k. and i get a new model with newer sepc. what you guys think? agree with me or should i proceed with the repair?

Regards.
