If you are using Panasonic Plasma/LCD TVs, then I suggest you get the same brand HTIB, so that you can take advantage of the viera link.
Viera link is where the TV and HTIB is linked and you can use 1 remote to control both devices.

I think it applies to other brand too. Correct me if I am wrong.
