Guys,

Need some help...really noob on this...I just bought a home theater cinema and a LCD TV recently. Both of them are connected by HDMI cable. Whenever I played a movie from my receiver (dont know what to call but it cames with the home theater package), I was able to hear pretty nice sound produced by the speakers. How to make the sound also came out from the speaker when I watch any TV programme from my ASTRO?????

Pls advise. notworthy.gif

oooo..

thanx guys...i thought by using HDMI I will be able to hear the sound as well from my HT...somebody tell me that if i used HDMI, i need no more additional cable as this cable carries both input (audio + visual)...is it only applicable for movie played by my HTIB??

means i still need to use other cable (white & red)? by the way i tried before connecting this white+red cable from astro decoder to my HT receiver, but nothing happened...

perhaps i missed out the appropriate setting for it...anybody know how its setting?really appreciate ur help guys....hehehehe...

one more thing i would like to ask...

ASTRO decoder using two type of cable if im not mistaken..one is S-Video cable and another one is component cable (white, red & yellow)...both connected to my LCD now..

wat function of s-video cable?is it carries video input to my LCD?? then how about the other 3 cables???

As wat i learned from sifu2's comment above, white and red cable carry audio input, so it means no need to plug the yellow one (yellow carry video input i guess) anymore as I got the s-video connected already? rite or not?

all home teater expert help me pls.... icon_question.gif

damn, why i bought this complicated things....really make me headache.... rclxub.gif

Ur HTiB has a HDMI output? If yes then u connect ur Astro (all other source) into the HTiB and HDMI ur HTiB to ur LCD.

Cables are just like a road for your signals. Many different roads can lead to the same place as long as you know how to jalan.

Then in your journey you will learn which road is better because not all roads are the same. So for example like video signal can use composite (yellow) or s-video or component or HDMI - it depends what is available on the source and the display device.

u're rite bro...the road is there and we just need to know where we are heading to..
