Hi recently i upgraded my iphone 2g to 2.2.1 and find that its impossible to get a network at all
so i downgraded it to 2.2 using quickpwn and now i see my iphone only has reception when its on the dock/charging
(mostly around 3 bar)
when i take it out from the dock.. the signal drops then network lost
any sifu out here know whats wrong?
hopefully not hardware problem

I guess it's the reception in ur area is very low. The only explaination why u got the signal only when it's docked because the signal is boosted everytime it's docked @ connected to the USB cable. Try to get your iPhone to other area and see if the signal is there or not.

hmm ok ill try search but then when i use my nokia in the room its 5 bar
furthermore i used to have the iphone without problem in the room
btw this only occur after i change the lcd cos i cracked it..

IC. You can get the guy who fixed your LCD to check if he messed up with the signal receiver

u using digi/maxis/celcom/umobile?

Try restoring it and not jailbreak.

most of these problems due to jailbreak and upgrade and downgrade of baseband.

better u send back to the person who repair ur lcd 1 to check it...

last time i also have this problem before, but i use eraser to rub the sim card, then put a paper on the sim slot there. then the signal suddenly back on full bar... i also stunned.
