it's tru only 1.3Kg?

and i'm quite sure i've read somewhere that it's 1.8kg
and not using magnesium alloy construction. the casing looks very plastic with very curvy design. looks more like plastics than mag alloy.

The external drive is included.

even when it's included, i have to say, a single core notebook/netbook with 12" screen at 1.8kg?
that's quite heavy for a 12 incher

the notebook itself is 1.86kg as stated inthe box, n ive carried it in my hands. im one of those earlier whove seen n touched it, theres a post somewhere here re it , keyboards r nice...very glossy design, as expected from HP

1.86 is rly not that light without a build in drive for a ultranetportabook, well sort of, as some internet called it lol. cuz its a sub niche

the usb ext drive is more powerful than ur avg usb . n not able to use on just any notebook, at least thts wht the salesman told me when i was lookin at dv3 he recommednme tis over dv3. he seem more interested than me lol

is it worth it? its a mixed bag of beans if i must say. meaning it cud go eitherway but im leaning to the pessimist. blu ray drive is nice (tho i no i nv use BR, with a HP brand on it n looking good at the same time, 4gb (how exp is 2gddr2 nowdays lol rmi got one for 64rm recently) n ati 3k series but rm2.4k for a solo core? id think twice. its like -its not the powerful c2d, yet its not cheap (tho better) than netbook, so dpds on the potential buyer lo

some go as far as claiming amd neo is only to fill the time gap till they rd to market Congo, wich is a dual core for this segment but tts js rumor

2.4k, id get sthg else lol, even 13.3" j13es twinhead for 2.4k @ 1.65kg or rm2k++ 1.9kg c2d nec s3300/3500 ofc, with a built in dvddrive lol well thats js for example how 'light' a nb without a drive

you spoke my mind. it does look somewhat awesome outside, but for 12" i do think it could be lighter. 1.8kg is just too heavy for a 12". a lot of manufacturer managed to squeeze at least 13" while keeping the weight below 2kg. some even managed to squeeze 14.4" with built in optical drive and still not be heavier than 2kg.
